he told me
| one |A few weeks had gone by and I thought everything was going perfect, other than the fact that my family had a small disliking to him. One night I had told him I was going out with friends and something had changed in the color of his eyes. He didn't like that I was hanging out with a few of the opposite gender that wasn't him and that I wasn't allowed to be around my friends anymore. I was confused. He told me I was his and that no one could take me from him, some people were a threat and it was his job to protect me from harm.
A few days later I had gotten a phone call from my mother who asked me if I was still in a relationship with him and I had told her yes. She got angry and told me I was better off alone, that I didn't need someone to make me happy. He had heard the conversation. He told me that my family wasn't good for me and that all they wanted was for me to abandon him. He guilted me to stop talking to my family because they weren't a positive thing to involve in our relationship.
One night he had taken me to a fancy restaurant, telling me he's never done something so extravagant for someone before. That night he told me he loved me, that I was the greatest thing to ever happen in his life.
I believed him.
