I apologize if these past few chapters have been kind of boring! I was just experimenting and such but I promise that the next few chapies will be better! :D As always, I would love to hear some feedback, especially since this is my first story! Ok....I'll let you read now, haha! :)

Crossing my arms over my chest, I slouched back into a comfortable position to listen to Mr. Argon. He droned on and on about the school and the rules. Blah, blah, blah. This would be my third time hearing this speech and it certainly hadn't gotten any more interesting. I picked up a piece of my long hair, playing with it. It was a habit of mine whenever I got too bored or wanted to space out for a moment. Occasionally, I looked up at Mr. Argon, enough so that it seemed like I was paying attention.

After what seemed like hours, the headmaster paused. Looking around me, I scanned the tired faces of my fellow schoolmates, feeling their pain. Just how long was he going to keep us here? I wiggled in my seat, frowning. My butt was sore. I sighed. Then, feeling guilty, I peeked at the people around me to see if they had heard. Nope! Stifling a giggle, I watched a boy as his head gradually dropped down, falling asleep. Then he jerked his head up and blinked with sleepy eyes. Aww, that was just too cute! I smiled.

"...and so, the only change this year is the increased strictness that we have decided to enforce." Mr. Argon said as he stared at us, giving a look to each student that groaned.

"On that happy note, welcome to Adelaide Academy! You are dismissed."

Rather abrupt aren't we? However, I get up, feeling relief that the assembly was over. I groan as I stand up. Thank goodness there are chairs all around me, I thought as I steady myself with one. Otherwise I would probably be lying on the ground twitching right now.

Making my way through the crowd of students desperately trying to leave the stuffy auditorium, I scan the mob of people for Ellie. Passing by a couple people I know, I give a friendly wave. Finally, I reach the area where I had seen Ellie sit earlier. Hmm? Where could that girl be? I wonder. Continuing to stand there, I sweep the Rose for a light brown head.

Fidgeting, I bite my lower lip. I probably look like an idiot right now, I think. When it comes to people, I am the most awkward person EVER. Turning around, I look at Izzy.

"Where is she?" I say loudly to be heard over the noisy auditorium.

"Don't know but I'm looking." Izzy cranes her head around people, her grass colored eyes searching.

"Arghh!" I sigh in frustration, throwing my hands up in the air.

Without warning, a rough shove hits me at my side as a person runs by and I start to fall. Seeing the ground coming closer and closer to me, the only thought that crossed my mind was Well, I guess I'm going to meet you up close and personal this time. The third time today that I almost fall, are you freaking kidding me? Only that didn't happen because suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap themselves around me. Gasping, I twist my head around to look at my savior. Piercing emerald eyes look down at me. "What? No thank you kiss?" Reyn feigns hurt.

Pushing myself out of his arms, I look up and glare. "Thank you," I say with emphasis, "but only in your dreams." I finish with a huff.

"Wow, are you completely unaffected by my charms?" He asks me, tilting his head. I couldn't tell if he was joking or not.
