Chapter 5: Dance Night

Recap: Kyle told Mae that they just guessed it and they're not so sure if Darren really likes her or not, but Mae kinda feel attracted towards him. Darren asked Mae to be his date for 'Dance Night' and Mae agreed.

"Just put a little eyeshadow." I told Julienne, she was helping me do my hair and makeup for 'Dance Night' but she was putting way to much makeup on my face that we had to use a lot of makeup wipes to remove it.

"Tada! You look gorgeous." Julienne said feeling proud of what she did.

"Thank you so much." I said appreciating my look.

"Don't mention it." She giggled.

"By the way, why are you mad at Katherine again?" I asked.

She sighed "When I was in 5th grade, Katherine was my best friend. We were really close, and on that time, I had a huge crush on Zack one of my classmates. I told Katherine about it and she said she would help me since Zack is one of her friends. But it turns out that she didn't help me, she just flirted with Zack and then bam! They were in a relationship."

I didn't know how to react at this, I was too shocked. "Oh.." was all I could say, Julienne gave me a weak smile.

"Can we go down? I'm hungry." She frowned holding her stomach.

"Sure, let's go." I said and we went out of my room.

She sat down in one of the kitchen island stools, while I opened the door to the pantry.

"What do you want?" I asked scanning the pantry.

She thought for a moment "A granola bar, please."

I looked for the granola bars and grab two, I sat down next to her and I poured some orange juice.

"Finally, I'm now full." Julienne said while rubbing her stomach, I stretched and sat down in the couch.

It was still too early to go to 'Dance Night',"How's your date? " I asked.

"Fine, he told me that he'll just meet me there. Bye I have to go now, see you later." Julienne said grabbing her purse.

"Okay bye, see you." I smiled at her.

I pressed random buttons in the remote control trying to look for a nice tv show to watch, I couldn't find one.

I decided to just go upstairs and try to fix myself a little bit more. I took out my breath spray and sprayed it in my mouth so I wouldn't have bad breath, I applied a little perfume and fixed my hair a little bit.

Since my hair was a natural straight hair then I didn't need to straighten it, I sat down in my bed and waited for Darren to come.

Ding dong, I heard the doorbell rang. I put on my high heels, and went down to open the door.

I saw Darren standing looking handsome as always, wait what did I just say? "You can close your mouth now." Darren whispered in my ear.

Did I just drool infront of him? Oh hell no! I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrasment.

"Umm...le-let's g-go?" I asked feeling nervous, Darren held my hand as we walked to his car. He opened the door for me, he was a true gentleman.

When he got in, he started the engine and we drove to the 'Dance Night' school party. The ride was silent, not awkward silence but a good kind of silence.
