Chapter 11: It was all a misunderstanding

Recap: Darren came back already! But, the sad thing is, when Mae saw Darren. She saw that Khaterine was clinging on Darren,and the good thing is,Darren and Mae are now friends. But, Darren told Mae that he likes Khaterine.

*Darren's P.O.V*

Mae looked really shocked,but I could tell that she was trying to hide it.I tried to control my laughter,she believed it!

"I'm just joking,I wanted to see your reaction.But I only like Khaterine as a friend." I laughed at her.

She looked relieved,"Oh okay,funny joke."

I missed Mae,more than you could ever think of.I spent all day thinking of her,meeting her was like the best thing that has ever happened to me. 

Yesterday at Starbucks,she seemed really uncomfortable that I was with Khaterine.Actually,I didn't even plan on going there with Khaterine.

-flashback-

I walked to Starbucks,since I got a text from one of Mae's friends that Mae was going to be there. I wanted to see her,I couldn't wait any longer.

Then suddenly,a girl spotted me.She ran to me and started clinging her arms on me,then she introduced herself. "I'm Khaterine." she said and started battling her eyelashes.

I forced a smile "I'm Darren."

"I know,your my crush you know? Wanna hang out?" she asked still battling her eyelashes. 

"No,sorry.I'm waiting for someone." I said,she looked annoyed.

She looked away,then she gave me an evil smile. 

"Oh hey there Mae,did you miss Darren? Well I missed him too." Khaterine said clinging more on me, then I saw Mae and my eyes widened.

Mae seemed annoyed so she bid her goodbye to me and Khaterine.

I also excused me and Khaterine, "Uhh...right,K-Khaterine l-let's go too.B-Bye Mae." I stuttered. I gave her a weak smile,then I left with Khaterine. 

This wasn't supposed to be in the plan,Khaterine wasn't supposed to be with me.Now Mae will get the wrong idea!

I was supposed to go there and surprised her,but thanks to Khaterine I didn't get too. Khaterine dragged me to almost every store,she was trying to look for a couple shirt,for me and for her.

But luckily,she didn't find anything.So we went back to Starbucks,I looked around but Mae wasn't there anymore.

Khaterine asked me to order our drinks because she needs to talk to her friend,I ordered our drinks and Khaterine came back,she was asking for a hug,so I hugged her.

I only did that so she would stop talking,it was really annoying.
