A/N: I am SSSSOOOOOO sorry I haven't uploaded this summer, I've been so busy I haven't had time! Hopefully, I'll have this up for you nice people tonight!
I'll admit, I was nervous as hell! This was much more than the 20-or-so girls that jammed out with me yesterday.God, that was only YESTERDAY! It feels so long ago! Yet, it's so similar, the adrenaline rush surging through my body, allowing me to continuously take steps forward, toward the stage.
I took the three steps up to the stage, my Guitar in hand, a loose strand of hair falling unto my forehead. I sat on the stool and adjusted my mic.
"How're you guys doing?" I was met with the rawr of the crowd
"So, I'm here to play some music until the DJ comes to kick me out, sound good?" Another loud cheer
"Let's start out with some Green Day
Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable but in the end its right
I hope you had the time of your life!"
For the rest of the song, I had an entire room, and this was like....a club almost, singing with me. I know it sounds weird, but I felt like a rockstar!. So when the music ended I channeled my inner Florence!
"There's a drumming noise inside my head that starts when your around
I swear that you could hear it it makes such an almighty sound
There's a drumming noise inside my head
That throws me to the ground
I swear that you could hear it it makes such an almighty sound
Louder than sirens Louder than bells
Sweeter then Heaven and hotter than hell
I ran to the Tower when the church bells chimed
I hoped that they would clear my mind
They left a ringing in my ear
But that drums still beating loud and clear
Louder than Sirens louder than bells
Sweeter than Heaven and hotter than hell
Now this was fun, And I decided to have even more fun. I stood up and stepped down from the stage, allowing my voice to carry through the headset I had on. I made my way through the crowd and started dancing! I ended up finding Nina and Jane who were with two guys, just having fun. You know, I may be a street rat, but I am a girl, I do want a relationship.
There's a drumming noise inside my head
That starts when your around
I swear that you could hear it it makes such an almighty sound
There's a drumming noise inside my head that throws me to the ground,
I swear that you could hear it it makes such an almighty sound!!
The final chords rang out, ending in applause like no other.
"So I take it your having fun?"
"YYYYYAAAAAAAA"
"Good, cause I'm about to slow this down a bit!
When I look into your eyes
Like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
There's so much they hold"
I put all my emotion into the song and tried to hold back tears. I would love for someone to sing that song for me. I would loved for my Dad to have not given up on my brothers and I. I wish I could get out, not of the city, I love it here.....Just out of my life, out of the streets, to have a home.
I read about this girl, Anne Frank, she was locked up in an attic for years. Not because she had too, because she had other options. She could have left the country, but she stayed locked up for years, only to be caught and killed. Why didn't she leave? I mean, letting yourself get locked up? And not trying to get out? That's just crazy! It makes no sense.
But I am brought back to reality by the final note, and a boy standing at the edge of the stage.
"I know you were slowing things down, but mind taking a request?"
"Not at all, what did you have in mind?" I asked the green eyes and dimples staring back at me
"Oh My Goodness, Olly Murs....It's for a special girl" he said and winked before walking back into the crowd.
Well, I looked up those chords last night. Come on photographic memory, don't fail me now!
Oh my goodness,
I can't hide it
You just smiled when you walked by me
Oh....my goodness
Warning signs that no one showed me
Lost control but please don't hold me back
Gonna go for it
I hope your ready for it Oh Oh....
Cause I don't know
If I can stop now
I'm going too fast, heart first
My head just can't slow me down
And I don't care
I continued with the song and then began Coldplays Viva la Vida...Cause lets face it-Coldplay is amazing! I moved on to Katy Perrys Part of Me, (cause Wide Awake sounds really funky on acoustic guitar!) and my second to last song was Call Me Maybe, because it's pretty epic to have that many people singing and punching the air in unison!
For my last song, I went a little Hicksville on it. Martina McBrides The Ride. I got to the second chorus when I saw him, the boy who requested Olly Murs! And he was standing next to the stuck-up wannabe popstar I had met this morning. Oh, Crap. they were staring at me!!! What the hell?!?! I looked nice, right? I'm no alien! but you would have thought it from the way they looked at me.
Men. Pshhshshshsawww. Soon my favorite song was through, and walked off stage, letting the DJ get his spotlight time. I checked the nearest clock- 10:30. Damn, the nearest store would be closed... I'll ask Nina and Jane for a sleepover, I'll find some excuse.
"Hey" a deep voice said in front of me. As I lifted my head, I could see that it was none other than Zayne Malik. Again, Crap.
A/N: So the song on the side is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! I love Martina, she's such a good singer. Anyways, this is dedicated to the only comments left on the last chapter. We'll see what happens next shall we?! Anyways, sorry this whole chapter is fluff, but it will get better, I promise! There will be EVENTFULLNESS in the next chapter, and I need to stop CAPITALIZING things. So..... Bye :)
