Second by second passed without realising. They prepared dinner together for tonight in the kitchen. Actually, it's more like Taehyung helped Chaeyoung's grandma to prepare those food and washed vegetables while chatting and laughing together out loud in the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Chaeyoung only watched them with a sulk face most of the time. She even cursed Taehyung silently because he took her grandma's attention with his excellent cooking skill; meanwhile, it took her more than a month to cook rice properly. For the meantime, she thought about how could she called him here since it's not her work place. What if she calls him 'Boss' like she used to? It would be weird, right?
"Okay, Chaeyoung! You don't have to be stressed just because of this. You are here for vocation. Just call him 'Taehyung'. He wouldn't mind it." She thought by herself.
Dinner has passed without any troubles — except Chaeyoung with her sulk face and her sharp words for Taehyung several times — it was 9PM already. Chaeyoung just finished washing the dishes carefully not to embarrass herself in front of Kim Taehyung because he sat in kitchen for almost 20 minutes since she started washing the dishes. She won't forget he was the one who told her not to leave any dishes in sink after eating. She remembered it so well.
She finally put those dishes into their place. She turned around and she found that Taehyung was on the edge of terrace, silently watching the full moon on the sky. She was about to walk to him and gave him a small talk, but she tried to not give him any glare. She knew that she was throwing a shade at him for a whole day.
"What's going on with me? Why would I be mad just because he is here?" She thought, looking at his back silently.
"Just come here, will you?" He talked to her, but he still looked at the moon without making any sound.
She went to where he stood once again. He didn't even move an inch as she heard that he called he she went there quickly.
She lets out a small cough before start speaking, "I'm sorry, Tae — Taehyung!" She awkwardly spoke it out, "I think I was really mean to you for today."
"It's okay, Chaeyoung." He casually replied, he looked into her eyes intensively, "I'm sorry for being so cold to you all these times, also about the surprise today."
She didn't speak out, just nodded her head as a 'yes'.
"I don't know why I was so worried about you lately, then I asked your friend, Lisa. — " He couldn't finish his sentence as she cut him off, "You might beneficial her a lot, don't you?" She laughed as he laughed along.
"Not a lot, just 150% bonus over salary for 3 months." He looked at Chaeyoung.
"I knew it. She won't tell you easily if there's no benefits for her." She said as she looked at him also.
"You shouldn't be mad at her because I was the one who forced her to tell me." His gaze moved to her side profile and looked at her hair as she turned away from him
Then he slowly tucked Chaeyoung's hair behind her ear, and she moved her face a little to look at his face as he kept smiling at her for a whole time. For a while, they only could feel each other breath and sound of blowing cold wind.
"I've heard about your grandfather a lot. You must have missed him all these long. My deepest condolences for you and your grandma." He didn't break the eyes contact between them, but she did it.
"It's okay, Taehyung. By the way, can I call you this?" She never called him like this before that's why she awkward with it.
"It's okay, don't be so awkward around me." He smiled at her again. , and she did it the same. "I am because you're the one who make these situations turned into worse."
"I'm sorry about it."
She chuckled, "I'm also sorry about my behaviour towards you earlier because I just don't want anyone to ruin this short vocation with my grandmother."
"Just the two of you?"
"Yes."
"I don't know why, Chaeyoung. Since I broke up with my girlfriend, I don't easily trust anyone except my friends." He finally told her what has been in his mind.
"Who are they? So, Jungkook is one of them?" She asked him.
"Yes, he is. You will know them later. After we broke up, I didn't open my heart for any girls before. I don't know why, when you left I started to feel worried about you a lot. I looked at you seat in your office. I miss how you asked me for my food, and I fed Joohwangie a lot after you left." He laughed at his own word after he mentioned Joohwangie. "The walls that I spent years to build was broken in a few minutes after you left. I thought about you a lot, Chaeyoung."
She laughed also, but one side of her felt uneasy in his eyes and his words for her, why he has to worried about her? "So, that's why you being cold to me?"
"Yeah," He said, "After I entered you room, I saw so many quotes in those family pictures of yours, I couldn't stop my heart from thinking about it, even when I distracted myself by going to my favourite club with my friend. You absence really bothered me a lot." He spoke his feelings out for her.
"I just want to start open myself up for you, and I just want you to do it the same." Taehyung still looked at Chaeyoung even if she looked away.
"It's not easy like what you thought." She finally broke the tension between them by saying a word.
