“We’re thinking of going out to that club, tonight—“ Matilda starts.
“Count me out.” You cut her off as you watch Cara talking and laughing with the rest of the group. “I’m having with dinner with—“
“Cara?” She scoffs. “Suit yourself, love.”
“For God’s sakes, M. You need to stop with the childish bickering.”
“Whatever.” She mutters, “Just don’t come cry on my shoulder when she breaks up with you again.”
You gasp as if a knife had just stabbed your guts.
“I didn’t mean that.” She quickly apologizes, trying to take her words back. “I just don’t want you to get hurt again.”
You simply stare at her.
“I’m sorry.” She purses her lips.
You decide to forget about her burst.
“Maybe after dinner I can meet you there.” You contemplate.
“Oh, please,” She rolls her eyes and smirks, “You’ll be too busy having make up sex.”
You gasp, blushing along. You slap her thigh and she dramatically whines.
“Prude!” She cries out.
You poke your tongue out and she mocks you. She starts making kissing noises and moaning Cara name. You hit her arm harshly and she only gets worse. Your face must be as red as a tomato.
"What are you guys doing?" Charlie says through chuckles.
He, Cara and the other boys all stare at you with amused faces. Your blush deepens and you hit Matilda once more.
"Fuck you, M." You mutter and roll your eyes.
"I love you, too." She pecks your cheek.
Cara flops down on the towel next to yours. She lies on her back and you turn your body to hers. Your arm bends, your elbow propped on the sand and your head rests on your hand.
She lifts her body slightly, supporting it on her elbows. She watches the people around her and you watch her. Then she looks at you. She smiles softly. She looks so beautiful. Her damp blonde hair all pushed to one side, leaving her long neck exposed to you. Her cute little nose slightly red from the sun. Her glimmering eyes. Her lips part and you can’t help but to think they’re perfect.
She’s perfect.
Your body itches from the salt. It wakes you from the daze she has you in. You sit up and rub your skin quickly, hoping the itch goes away.
