When Historia's turn came, she made no hesitations in paying Connie's share of food. The baldish boy was gaping, since she took out a huge wad of cash that could feed her alone for at least a month. It was especially weird since they barely knew each other but she paid for his share of food. Connie felt a blush creep upon his cheeks as he retorted. "Thanks for caring Christa, but you don't have to pay my share. It's okay!"

Historia, unfortunately saw this in the negative aspect. She started to think that he does not even want to be her friend or anything, and it made her sad. Her lower began protruding, making the taller boy panic.

"Uh-no, no, no. Please don't cry." He was waving his hands frantically, which made no clear effect, because the sad expression on her gentle picture was still freshly etched. Connie started to breathe heavily as he tried to muster a proper answer. "I-I'm sorry. It's just maybe your mom and dad will get mad at me if they knew you paid for my food. It's my bad."

"R-Really? I-I don't think so . . ." She murmured lowly, tone laced with doubtful certainty. "Mom gave me more than I need so I decided to share it."

Connie was stunned from her kindness then gave her a toothy grin. "Thanks, I'll try to get you something some time. I owe you."

"Wha- wait, you don't have to do tha-"

"What takes so long?" A tall girl stomped her foot in agitation. "Would you two scoot over?" She walked to up them, slightly shoving Connie away from the counter.

A reprimanding tone. Harsh looks. Raised brows. Connie and Historia were criticized for taking a bit long due to them talking.

"I-uh . . ." Historia could not utter the words she could, for the frightening looks of the brunette was too intense for her to handle.

With this unclear response, it annoyed Ymir more. "You what? You uh what?"

Historia internally grimaced in shame. They were causing a scene that the whole school will probably talk about for like a week, since it occured in the cafeteria, which had hordes of people in it. She could almost imagine her reputation marked with this event. They were at the edge of a cliff, because of this pushy woman that keeps pressing tiresome complaints.

"Let them be." A gloomy, black-haired girl that had cool, relaxed silver-violet eyes and had average height spoke, which at least made the tiny blonde girl less tense. "They are not causing that much of a delay."

"Huh? But they were a minute slow!" The other girl who criticized them countered. "It is still a delay. I thought you were smart but you sure are downright dumb, Ackerman."

The other said nothing, just pursing her lips in frustration. With that, the brunette girl stepped forward, inching closer to Connie.

"You keep talking, why won't you just buy something immediately and be gone? You are just wasting my time!" She spat, making Connie flinch.

Oh no. She's definitely taller than me, Historia tried to suppress a squeak as she observed the one standing in front of Springer. She had dark hair that reached the lower part of her neck, but was clipped into a ponytail, her eyes wild and scary, her freckles on her cheeks seemed terrifying as her lips were twisted in a deep scowl. And also, she was absolutely mean.
