Past Forgotten?

Pragya looked busy with arranging one of the room.

Purab came and said "I can see how much you are yearning to meet him."

Pragya "Nothing like that. He is coming after sometime and I felt his room should be in place."

Purab smirked and Pragya smiled inwardly tidying up the tea table.

Purab "I can't believe you forgive him very easily."

Pragya "Please don't talk about past. It was a misunderstanding from the beginning. You also know that. Now I am not thinking about him. I am thinking about Koyal. She needs our care and attention now."

Purab "I agree with you. I am thankful for your efforts so far."

Pragya "It's my responsibility Bhai. Don't thank me and make me feel away from your family."

Purab "I'm sorry for saying that way."

Pragya "It's okay Bhai."

Purab "And Abhi sounds a bit lost when he called me. I don't know if anything is wrong with him."

Pragya "Oh..."

She said and thinks about Abhi.

Purab "I will go and talk to Koyal now. She was asking for some help in her homework."

He said and left while Pragya was still thinking of Abhi.

Hours later, Abhi reached the house and Pragya was in the kitchen cooking his favourite dishes.

Abhi was talking to Purab and Purab informed him about Pragya's yearning to see him. He smiled lightly hearing it and asked how is Koyal.

Purab "Better than last time and she wants to talk to you. It was good that you came now."

Pragya who came out of the kitchen without noticing Abhi said "Bhai, I have cooked all the dishes that he likes. He is coming soon right? The food will get cold later."

She says wiping her hands with duppata and looks up to see Abhi standing beside Purab.

Pragya looks away and asks "When did he came?"

Purab "While you were cooking for him."

Abhi "Thanks.... You don't have to do all this for me."

Pragya "I never did it for you. I did it for all of us."

Abhi gets a bit disappointed hearing that but never shows it off.

Purab "Can you get Koyal down Pragya?"

Pragya says OK and goes to bring Koyal down while Abhi looks at her leaving.

Purab "Abhi... Don't worry. Everything will be alright soon."

Abhi nods his head and a while later sees Pragya coming alone and wonders why Koyal hasn't come with her.

Pragya "She doesn't want to eat now."

Abhi "It's lunch time! She doesn't want to eat?"

Purab "It is like this recently Abhi. She eats when she feels like. We don't force her."

Pragya "No few days back she was fine. She ate with all of us. Only today..."

Abhi "Maybe because of me...."

Purab "Nothing like that Abhi. You eat first. You have come from far and would be hungry now."
