"Over here!" Brynnleigh yelled as she went to join her best friend, Lucas, for a swim. She jumped in the pool causing the water to splash onto Lucas's face. "Hey Brynn." Lucas laughed while slightly blushing as he wiped his face and tossed the red ball to her. Even though Brynnleigh was his best friend, he still really liked her... in a crush kind of way. "So what should we do today?" She said a they continued to throw the ball until Lucas stopped to ask her something.
"Hold on. I think there's someone in that bush." He said while pointing to a nearby bush behind Brynnleigh. "Where?" She asked as she focused her attention on the bush to try and find what he had saw. At the same moment, Lucas dove underwater. "I don't see anything." Brynnleigh said while turning back around to look at Lucas, who was no longer there. Before she could say anything, He swam up behind her and pushed her underwater. "Hey!" She said after she swam back up to the surface.
They both began laughing. Brynnleigh then ditched the ball at his head which made them laugh even more. "I'll get it." Lucas said as he he got out of the pool to get the ball that ended up on the concrete.
As he picked it up, he noticed that all the birds were flying away from the beach. "What's going on?" Brynnleigh asked as she walked over to Lucas. Screams were coming from the beach near the hotel and the sound of water could be heard as everyone started to panic. Lucas looked over to Brynnleigh who looked slightly pale and scared. When he looked back to the direction of the beach, A huge wave headed towards.
"Run!" Lucas shouted as he grabbed Brynnleigh, who was basically frozen, and jumped back in the pool. A big piece of a hotel room hit them causing their hands to let go. They have lost each other.
