Sara swallowed hard. His eyes were fastened on her lips then it traveled down to her bosom. And the low cut blouse she had on wasn't helping at all. "I-I was a thinking of going to a hotel until its time for the flight. What about you?"
"I think I'll do the same too. Shall we?" he asked. "I'm sure there's a nice little place somewhere close by so that we could have a little chat."
Sara cleared her throat. This is your opportunity. Don't mess it up. "Oh---ah... Sure." She didn't want to come off as desperate. Okay, she was indeed desperate but her biological clock was ticking and her sex life was near non-existent. And here was a sexy man giving her the attention she needed; why would she refuse? Wasn't this the season of love and giving? Well, in this case, taking.

After they'd both booked two rooms at the Grand Coastal hotel some blocks away from the airport, the two of them went in search of a place to eat."What kind of work do you do?" she asked, taking a sip of the bubbly liquid in her glass.
"I work in a bar. My buddies and I own a bar," he said, his eyes locked onto hers. "And you?"
Sara tucked the stray strand behind her ears, "I'm a real estate agent."
He grinned at her. "So, I know you're not married," he gestured toward her ring finger. "You must be going home then, what was it? Business trip?"
"Ah, no, actually I'm spending Christmas with my dad in Mistletoe Grove. It's kind of a tradition for us ever since mom died. She gave him a smile and glanced down at her glass. Talking about her mom always made her heart ache with sorrow. "
"That's great," Mason said. Memories flashed in his mind of his family. His mother and father singing Christmas carols, his little sisters fighting over which one of them would get the biggest gift. And his grandmother knitting baby booties. Up to this day, he didn't know why she knitted those. Oh, how he missed them so. Since the accident---
"Mason? Mason?"
Shit. Fuck. He had zoned out. It's been so long since he'd thought of his family.
He looked over at Sara's beautiful face. He'd never felt this way about a woman he'd just met before. It couldn't be love just yet. But he knew he could fall in love with her. Something about her drew him in. Made his heart clenched with happiness. It's been so long since he'd felt happy.
"Mason?"
"S-sorry, I was just thinking of my family." He tried to smile but it was forced.
Sara knew something was wrong. When she mentioned her dad, Mason's eyes had clouded with so much sadness. It almost broke her heart.
"Mason, What happened to your father?" she whispered softly.
His eyes went unsteadily for a moment and he looked down at his hands. "It wasn't just my dad; it was my whole family. My mom, My sisters, then my Grandmother. A drunk driver drove into the car they were in. My dad, grandmother, and sisters died instantly. Mom died days after."
Her heart ached with the grief etched on his face. "Mason, you don't have talk---"
"You know what the funny thing was?" he glanced up at her.
"I---"
"It's like my mom just gave up; its like she didn't want to live anymore when she found out about them."
Sara took his hands into hers and give it a small squeeze. "I'm so sorry Mason. I know what it's like to lose someone."
He gave her a tiny smile and released a shuddering breath. "I'm sorry about that. I've never really talked about them or the accident before."
"I understand."
"I'm spending Christmas with my friend and his family. I'm so tired of being alone. I know this is random and blunt, but Sara?" he brought her hands to his lips, "I want to make love to you now."
She felt her breath catch when he made that statement and warmth pooled in the bottom of her stomach. She got up, leaned in closer to his ears and whispered," I would love that." She felt his body shivered when she made sure to brush her lips against his ears.

Multiple kisses along her shoulders were what made her open her eyes to the chocolatey pools of his eyes. "You have to get ready or we are gonna miss our flight.""Hmm," she groaned. "Already?"
"Yes beautiful," he said getting off the bed. His naked backside exposed for her eyes only.
"Have I told you, you have a great ass?"
"About a thousand times while you grabbed it over and over. You saw those scratches, thanks to you my backside now has marks to last a lifetime." He chuckled.
"Hey, Mason?" she called out softly.
He stopped in mid-stride but didn't turn around. "Yeah?"
"What do you think about spending Christmas with my father and me?"
He still didn't turn around when he spoke. "Really? You would want that?"
"Come here." When he climbed back onto the bed, she grabbed his face and kissed him hard. "Yes, with everything in me."
He pulled back an inch, "What will you say to your father?"
She smiled, her eyes twinkling, "It all started on Christmas Eve."
