Minecraft Trouble in Mineville

Chapter 13---Goodbye

Paint's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As she stood there in the entrance where Alex's bed was, waiting for either Klove or Prince or both of them to enter the room to find it without Alex and just her with her sword drawn craving bloodshed.

After a few minutes passed, the thought of the two of them not showing up came up more often as time went by. Then, an hour later she decided to get up and leave, so she put her sword away and decided to call Alex to make sure he was okay but didn't pick up which made her upset, but decided to let it not get her down, instead she would use it to motivate her to figure out where he was. She scoured the city and came up with nothing, so then she decided to go to the police station and ask them where Alex was being kept and the two cops at the desk turned and looked at each other and let out a sigh and then looked back at Paint and told her that Alex was with his brother, the mayor. Her jaw dropped, and tried to comprehend why of all places they would take him there.

So, she bolted her way to the mayor's mansion by taking the paths least traveled by to get there the quickest and without having to run into random people and especially not running into Prince or klove.

As she walked up the steps to the front door she was stopped by two guards and asked what her why she was there and when she said that she was there to see Alex, one of them pulled out their radio and asked ElephantZon if she was good to come in, and while doing so, Paint read their badges and one of them was NightWolf, and the other was _Jinja_. Jinja looked friendly, and Nightwolf looked less friendly and started cracking jokes towards Paint, but before Night could really get going, ElephantZon answered back on the radio and said it was cool to let her in the building. As Paint walked around the mansion, she could't help but look at the interesting interior that didn't go together what so ever, there was no contrast or anything, it just looked like someone threw up colors all over the place.

As she kept walking around the house and judging, ElephantZon's poor choice of interior decorating, and walked by multiple guest rooms in the house, and walked by one that was opened a jar and walked by, but then backtracked and slowly opened the door to see if anyone was in there while trying to be as quiet as possible. She peered around the door and looked around the room, and in the very corner of the room, she finally saw Alex facing the wall. Paint slowly walked over to him in case he was sleeping and when she noticed that he was, her smile went away, but instead of leaving, she decided to gently climb in next to him to keep him company and warm. In no time, the two of them were both fast asleep. Then, about an hour or so later, Alex started to come out of his deep sleep state, so if he could move, he would, but he opened his eyes and looked down and saw that Paint was just laying there on his chest and looked so peaceful that instead of waking her up, he just smiled and closed his eyes again and went back to sleep until someone or something woke either him or Paint up.

A few months go by, Alex, Paint, Fluffy, and Lucy moved to the outskirts of town to make sure Prince and klove could never find them again. Except Paint started to leave the house more frequently and came back late and never really talked to Alex much anymore which made him feel down most of the time, but never expressed how he felt about it around Paint because he didn't want to make things awkward between them. So most of the time it was just Alex and Fluffy hanging out in the house all the time and the two would play for a while but then get bored of what they were doing really quickly. When Alex was at work, Paint was out and about leaving Fluffy and Lucy by themselves all the time and Alex could tell that they never wanted to do much of anything anymore because they rarely saw Paint.

Eventually, Paint introduces everyone to a guy named JJ. Alex didn't mind the guy at first but then Paint brought him up all the time and they never really talked one on one anymore which made him feel invisible and acted like he was having a good time around them. Alex couldn't take the pain it was causing him anymore, so one night when Paint comes in the house he tell her that she needs to take care of Fluffy and Lucy because he would no longer be around to take care of them. So, he grabs his diamond sword and came out to where Fluffy, Lucy, and Paint where and Paint asked what he was doing with the sword and said that he was going to do something that would be the best for them. He grabs the hilt of the sword with both hands and turns it to face him and thrusts the sword into his torso and twists it, immediately killing him.

---------------Paint's POV------------------

Paint stood there phased by what just happened but not too phased about it, however Lucy and Fluffy were nudging Alex to see if he was just playing around, but when he never woke up, the two of them just sat next to him and waited for Paint to do something. The first thing Paint did was call an ambulance and told the paramedics exactly what happened, then called the Police station to let them know that their detective just committed suicide, and set up a date for the funeral.

On the day of the funeral, almost every officer in the department had something to say about Alex and how they thought that he was the most collected guy they've ever known, and how tragic it was for him to go out in that way, and everyone there thought that Paint would've spoken but her name wasn't in the program and had nothing to say about Alex. Then again most of the attendees were judging her for bringing another guy to the funeral but none of them knew the whole backstory behind it so they dropped all of their judgments and let the funeral go on without causing a scene.

Then, just as the funeral was about to end, one last person said that he wanted to say a few words about the parted, and when everyone turned, they were all surprised to see that it was the mayor, ElephantZon, and at that moment all Paint could feel was fear because she wasn't sure where Ele was going to go with his speech about Alex. Ele talked about all the good and the bad times he had with his brother and then talked about how happy he was with Paint until the last couple months of their relationship because he felt like Paint didn't want to talk or be around Alex unless someone else was accompanying her so then she was able to talk more freely and have more laughs, except all the while, she was almost entirely excluding him and the only time that she ever texted him was when he said he wasn't feeling that well emotionally and that she held the conversation for about five minutes each time and then went back to what she was doing prior to Alex's message. Ele then finished his speech with, "Paint is probably the only person here that isn't affected by the death of Alex because he didn't mean that much to her, especially since she brought another guy here today that Alex was moderately fond of but then things went for a terrible turn because in the end, MY brother died over someone that gave him practically nothing when all he did was to try and make sure that she was happy. Thank you to everyone that came out today, but I'm ashamed in Paint for not taking the liberty to talk about how he impacted her life, and how he almost lost his life trying to protect her."

Paint got up from her seat and left the area with nothing to say and pushed everyone out of her way as she went back to the house so she could have company from Lucy and Fluffy, except when she opened the door, the two of them were dead and had gashes along their sides and back, and saw Prince and klove come out from where they were hiding, swords drawn and ready to kill. Paint was unarmed and begged for mercy, but all klove and Prince did was laugh at her and force her to walk into a corner before Prince sliced Paint's stomach and then stabbed her in the chest. She looked at klove with betrayal in her eyes and tried to mouth her last sentence, "why would you do this to me?" klove just stood there with her sword by her side and her head hanging because she wasn't happy with the outcome, but it was something that she had to live with forever.

A/N I ended it this way because I couldn't think of how else to keep the story going, so I thought that instead of having a story that repeated itself all the time, that I'd just end everything. Thank you guys for reading this and I hope it was somewhat enjoyable.
