"I can't find it anywhere! Where on earth can it be?" Zeynep was emptying all her drawers hoping to find her lost jewelry.
Efsane tried to help her but couldn't find anything herself.
"What is going on?" Emir entered the room, looking around curiously.
"I can't find the necklace you gave me! I swear I'm already getting a headache!" Rubbing her palms on her face, she sat back down on bed.
"Maybe you left it at your parents' house?" He shrugged his shoulders, not really knowing what else to tell her.
"No, no I called my mother. It isn't there." She shook her head, looked around again.
"Don't bother, I'll get you a new one."
"I don't want a new one! I want that!"
"I can get you a similar one, it's no big deal!"
"It is! It was special for me! Your actual first present for me..." Zeynep trailed, making a melancholic face.
Emir bit his lower lip to keep himself from smiling. "Still, if I buy it again it will be another actual present-"
"Emir!"
"Okay, okay... Let's think about where else could it be..." He suddenly kneeled to check under the bed. "It isn't here..." As he moved the sheets of the bed upwards, he heard something tingling on the floor. "Ah, here it is! I didn't even look for five minutes, Zeynep!" Rolling his eyes, he passed the necklace to her.
"Such a know-it-all, aren't you?" Zeynep grabbed it from his hands.
"You were wearing it yesterday in case you don't remember." He pointed it out, moving past her.
"And?" She was looking at him clearly clueless.
"When we went to bed, you were wearing it. It probably fell off your neck."
"Oh?" It came as a realization to her.
"You attacked me, how can you not remember..." He smirked, running his hand down her arm.
"Uff, stop... Don't remind me." She smiled shyly, looking down.
"It was nice, I liked it." Licking his lower lip, he proceeded to kiss her slowly, stopping and then kissing her again.
"Mr Emir." Efsane entered the room again.
Emir clenched his fists, his expression changed to an annoyed one as he moved away from Zeynep. "What?"
"Mr Mehmet is here." She smiled uncomfortably.
Sighing, he left the room with quick steps heading downstairs.
"In my office." Emir signaled Mehmet, opening the door of his office. "Say it."
"We have arranged our men in prison. They will be our eyes and ears for Boran." Mehmet explained slowly.
"That's good news. I don't want it to be known that I am leaving, do you hear me? Not at least, we're in London." Emir warned him deadly serious.
"Of course... But there's nothing he can do to you, sir. Not anymore."
"You can never know what he could do if he gets the chance. He's a maniac." At his last word he chuckled softly, remembering his own actions against Nihan and Kemal.
"Emir?" Zeynep entered his office all of a sudden.
Emir looked at her from head to toe without saying anything.
Mehmet was looking down, not wanting to get in trouble again.
"Poyraz has a fever..." She began, clearly anxious.
"What?!" Emir ran upstairs without a second thought.
Zeynep followed him slowly, calling the doctor from her phone.
"Son? What is wrong, huh?" He touched Poyraz's forehead. "Don't do this to me, we are leaving tomorrow..."
"I called the doctor, Emir. He's gonna come check him." Zeynep stood by his side, pampering Poyraz.
"I had to go to my father but I will wait-"
"No, there's no need. I am here, you go." She prompted him, touching his arm comfortingly.
"Inform me at once, okay?" Emir couldn't take his eyes off his son, it was his weak spot.
"I will, don't you worry. It's probably nothing bad." Caressing his cheek gently, she left a short kiss on it.
Emir turned his look on her, giving her a well known gaze of his before leaving the room hastily."Guide him to Galip Kozcuoğlu." A guard asked another, showing the way to the visitors' room.
"Emir..." Galip touched the glass wall in front of him, tears forming into his eyes.
"Hello, father." Emir tried to keep himself from being affected by Galip.
"How are you? How is my grandson?"
"Good. As always." Emir was feeling kind of uncomfortable, it's been ages since he talked to his father. "You? How have you been holding up?"
"I will survive, son. Just like we always do."
Looking into each other's eyes for seconds, Emir decided to get over with the actual reason he came to visit his father.
"I am moving to London tomorrow. I am also taking my mother with me."
"How? I mean- Why would you?" Galip got anxious, rubbing his hands nervously.
"I don't understand this uneasiness... Why wouldn't I take her with me? You are in here, Asu is in the clinic... My mother has no one but me."
Emir narrowed his eyes at his father. Was there something he was afraid of?
"What if she wakes... I mean, I won't be there for her." Galip tried to mask his worry.
"You wouldn't be here when she woke anyway... But I really hope she does. I would really like to know what made her commit suicide in the first place..." Emir trailed on purpose, grimacing. He was sure all those years that his father had his hand in this whole situation with Müjgan but he couldn't move forward when he didn't know the actual facts.
"Whatever it was, it doesn't change the fact that she left us son. She left both you and me."
Flickering his eyes, Emir decided to move past this discussion. This wasn't the appropriate time.
"Anyway... I came to say goodbye. I have to go back to my son, he's sick."
A small smile appeared on Galip's face, getting emotional over hearing his son's words. Emir was a caring and compassionate father compared to him. He wasn't putting work over his son like he used to do.
"I'm so proud of you, Emir... You will become what I never will... Your son will love you for standing by him... Nothing is more important than family."
"All I am trying to do is to avoid becoming like you." Emir forced a smile. "I could have been someone else if I had you by my side... If I had your support, your love-"
"I always loved you, son!"
"Spare me the drama. Be thankful that my son came to this world and I'm not interested to deal with anyone else..." He stood up, ready to leave. "Oh... In a few months I'm getting another son... I thought you should know."
Galip touched the glass soundly, a few tears clearly rolling down his cheeks.
"Goodbye, father." Emir turned around to leave with no clear emotion visible on his face. His relationship with his father has always been complicated. They loved each other in their twisted way, supporting and covering for each other when it was needed. They never had the normal father - son relationship, since Emir had nothing good to remember from his childhood years and it was something that traumatized him as the time went by."So he's getting more teeth?" Zeynep asked the doctor who examined her son.
"Yes don't worry, Mrs Kozcuoğlu. This is normal. He won't have trouble traveling although he might get uneasy."
"Thank you so much, really. It had me worried a bit." She escorted him at the door, walking slowly.
"Give my regards to Mr Emir." The doctor smiled kindly, getting out of the door.
"Will do, thank you again."
"Have a safe trip, Mrs."
At the moment Emir's car entered the yard, stopping right in front the door steps.
"Mesut, is my son okay?" He asked, getting out of the car at once.
"He's teething, Mr Emir. It's perfectly normal, don't worry."
"Oh... Alright then. Thank you so much." Shaking hands with him, he walked to Zeynep's side.
"Little one, hey." He touched her belly for seconds with the back of his hand, passing by her.
"You are back early." She commented, following him.
"I finished my business early with my father." He looked like he didn't want to elaborate.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She helped him take off his jacket.
"Not now. Are they done with packing?"
"Almost..." Zeynep lowered her face, sighing deeply.
"What is that face?" Emir turned around, grabbing a glass to pour some whiskey.
"Aren't you trusting me enough to tell me what happened with your father?" She crossed her arms, obviously disappointed.
"Where is that coming from now?" He sipped some whiskey, sitting on the couch.
"From your tone, Emir."
"There's nothing like that. Get it out of your head." Drinking the whole glass at once, he left it on the table and walked upstairs.
Zeynep bit her lips. Maybe she was overreacting but again, she is right to do so. Emir never tells her anything too personal, not unless he's at his weakest point. This is annoying her. What couldn't she give for a normal wife and husband conversation. But who is she kidding, they are far from that.
Heading to the kitchen, she opened the fridge to eat anything that would come across her.
"Zeynep?" Eda came from behind her. "Are you hungry? I can make you something real quick."
"No Eda, thank you... I'm craving something sweet though... Some chocolate maybe."
"I can prepare a chocolate mousse before you even blink your eyes! Leave it on me!" She suggested, opening some drawers to get the ingredients out.
"You are a sweetheart really... Have you packed your stuff?"
"I did! I'm all ready to travel!" Eda exclaimed all excited, making Zeynep laugh.
Emir spent some time with Poyraz, checking him out. After a while he went to Zeynep's room, not finding her there.
He decided to take a bath until she would come but even when he got out, she wasn't there. Dressed in a pair of joggers and a plain t-shirt, he made his way downstairs. Surprisingly, he found her eating a huge bowl of chocolate pudding with such a mania he hadn't witnessed before.
"What are you doing?" He smiled in disbelief, pulling a chair to sit at the side of her.
"I was craving some chocolate, I don't know..." Zeynep shrugged her shoulders, keeping on with eating.
"I haven't had chocolate pudding in ages... Maybe since I was 15."
"It's mousse, not pudding." She corrected him.
"Quite the difference, they're the same. Let me try." He proposed, taking the spoon from her.
"Oh..." She gave it to him, observing his moves.
Emir opened his mouth, trying some of it. He was chewing for seconds, having his eyes shut. It seemed like he was trying to revive an old feeling, something childish he had left behind.
Without realizing it, Zeynep had started smiling wide. It was so weird to see him like this. He was carefree, with no care in the world.
When he suddenly opened his eyes and looked at her looking back at him, his posture and expressions changed.
"Something entertaining?"
"Yes, you." She wiped some chocolate from the corner of his mouth.
"Hm..." Emir looked at her with wonder, thinking about something.
"Anything that comes in your mind?" Zeynep turned her head to the side, licking her bottom lip.
"Maybe... But I have to be soft... I don't want to hurt my son..."
A moan left Zeynep's lips without realizing.
"Come. It's our last night in this house." Emir laid his palm for her to take, guiding her upstairs.~~
