"Anisa wake up" i whispered tapping her on her back

After fajr prayer

Anisa was reciting surah Al Hujrat

I was just sitting in front of her listening to her recitation

Her recitation was flawless, even she was flawless

"Ameen ya zawji"she said

"Anisa i think it is better you stay at home for a while" i said

"Why do you think so?" she asked

"Well, with everything going on, I don't want anything to happen to you"i explained

"I'll be fine Allah is in control"she assured

"I know that but it is good to be safety
Conscious" I reasoned

"Okay but can your mom stay with me and also Sawda"she asked

"Off course"

"Thanks" she said and kissed me on my cheeks

My ears turned pink

This girl won't kill me one day

Anisa's POV

Khalid's ears where pink but I just ignored him pretending that I didn't see him.

That means i have an effect on him does this mean there is a slight chance he likes me

"Nah" i said pushing that thought away

Khalid has been there for me through all challenges, but is he doing it because he cares or because of the promise he made to my mother.

This is so confusing!

"You found him?"Khalid asked the person he was talking to

"Yes sir we have kept him in our custody"the voice explained

"Okay I'm on my way" he said ending the call

Anisa and your never end habit of eavesdropping

"Who was that"i asked from behind which made him tense

"Uh............. It was the managing director of the company"he lied straight to my face

"Stop! Stop it why are you lying?" I asked angrily

"You and i both know that's a lie" I said

"Tell me"i asked again

"It was Mr Richard"he said

"Really, so it was Mr Richard abi"

"Who is in his custody" i asked again

"You were eavesdropping again weren't you"he asked but I chose to ignore him

"That's not the point"

"Answer the previous question"

"And don't you dare lie to me" i warned

"Your mother's​ murder is in his custody"
