"Well, hi Cody. Didn't expect you to join us for lunch. Have a seat." She says, so evil it hurts.

"It's ok, really. I don't think they would even want me to sit here." he motions to the rest of the girls. It hurts my feelings that he hasn't shown that he actually wants to sit with me. All he's shown is fear from the look Nadia is giving him. A little part of me wishes he would actually ask Nadia to move or sit on the other side of me. I think he's intimidated by Ava.

"It's fine. Really. They don't give a flying drunkin squirrel if you do or don't. Come on. For Pennys sake?" she pleads. Before I know it he's sitting on the opposite side of me. The way he sits is so funny. I look at him and muster a chuckle.

"What? What did I do?" he says as he notices my small gesture.

"Oh, nothing. It's just.... You look hilarious when you try to sit on these stools." I laugh. After a few seconds he starts to laugh to.

"So what, I'm not allowed to sit anymore? Or should I sit more often?" he asks. Why does he have to be so cute? What? No. He's not cute. Why would I think that? I guess if you look in a certain light he could be handsom but definitaly Not cute. Right?

He has a girlfriend and I certainly don't like-like him. I continue to laugh but it turns into a nervous laugh. I think he's noticed.

"Everything alright? You seem......nervous. Anything on your mind?" he asks.

"umm...No. Of coarse not. Why would I be. I'm just.... thinking." I say, trying not to sound too unusual.

"Ok then. Hey, What did the penguin tell the chicken before he died? I believe I can fly!" his attempt at a joke is terrible but that makes it funnier. I love his laugh. Its kind and fits his personality.

"What did the girl say to the boy after a terrible joke?" I reply.

"I love you? Oh oh, They started making out! Wait, did he get in her pants?" he says. I know he knows I'm talking about us so is he trying to.....flirt? No. He can't be. He's just being funny.

"No!" It comes out as a squeal. I don't know why I talk the way I do. I'm always whining or squealing and I can't help it.

"Then what else could she say? Obviously he's stunner if he can make a lame joke and still be funny!" he says, sounding more curious than he actually is.

"She tells him how stupidly perverted he is. Especially if he's saying nasty things to a girl that's not his girlfriend." I tell him. At this point, my life turns around, even if I hadn't realized it yet.

"So the question on the table is, would that girl like to be his girlfriend? Does she like him as more than friends, or has he been glued to the friend zone?" I go stiff. Is he asking me out? Why? Does he like me? Well, obviously Einstein. Why would he say that if he didn't?

"Is that a no?" He says with worry and confusion in his voice.
