"I, uh, I didn't say that. Its just, I thought that boy had a girlfriend, and, well, I don't know what to say. Actually, I'm pretty sure his girlfriend is watching him right now and......"
"I just broke up with her. I kinda liked another girl and wanted to see if my chances with her were better. But, I think she just rejected me." he interrupts me, frowning. He looks like he's about to cry so I do the only thing I can: fall in love.
"I'm not sure she rejected you. Actually, I'm thinking she really likes you, too! You should, uh, ask again, maybe?" I smile. It feels like forever since I've had a guy genuinely like me, not just for some body part he thought he could get.
"Ok. I will try. ok," he clears his throat and continues ,"Penny? Do you like me? I mean like like me, not just as a friend?" he asked, unsure. We were alike in that way, both being unsure. I was unsure if I was willing to fall in love and he was unsure if I would want to.
"I do. I really like you. I think you are amazing. I like you as a friend, but not just as friends either." and with thqt statement he kissed me. My first kiss, in the middle of the cafeteria.
