The wind sent a shiver down my spine. I raced into the back door of the bar.

"How is the weather out there?" A deep voice asked me. "Crappy. I wish this tropical storm would leave already. I also wish that my bandmates didn't come down with the flu so I wouldn't be playing this gig solo." I responded, peeling my damp leather jacket off of me.

He chuckled, "Don't be all pouty. Come hug me, Victoria."

I wrapped my arms around my older brother's waist. My head rested against his warm chest. "You're going to do great out there." I sighed and pulled away, "But Nathan. Without Elena and Jinger with me, I sound so bad." "If anyone in my bar thinks you sound bad, I'll kick them out. Now come on. It's time."

Grabbing my guitar, I followed him from the backroom onto the stage. "Everyone give it up for this evening's talent, Victoria." Applause filled my ears.

I sat on a wooden stool and adjusted my microphone. "Hello, everyone. I'm Victoria, and I'm in the band The Twisted Roses. Usually, I have my two bandmates with me, but they sadly came down with flu. So tonight, it's just you guys and me. I'm doing this first song, 'Thinking of You,' from our album 'Twisted.' Hope you enjoy it."

Strumming the guitar, I began to sing.

Three songs later, I took my halftime break and plopped down at the bar. Nathan smiled, "You're killing it, sis. I'd offer you some alcohol, but I don't want you getting all drunk on stage." I rolled my eyes; he knew I didn't drink. "I'll take some water." He set a glass of ice water down in front of me. I gratefully took a sip.

"You sounded amazing," A accented voice spoke as he sat down next to me. "I love your songs. So well written." "Thank you-" I looked up into the man's brown eyes. "You're-" My mouth gaped open. He smiled, "Ashton Irwin. Pleasure to meet you."

"Victoria Rose. Pleasure to meet you too." I took a deep breath. "I can't believe this. You're seriously one of the best drummers in the world."

A slight blush filled his cheeks. "I doubt that but thank you. After you finish on stage, come to find me. I have some guys that are dying to meet you." He stood up and walked away. I couldn't see exactly where he went.

"Breaks over, get back up there." Nathan reached over the bar and playfully punched my shoulder. I snapped out of my thoughts and went back on stage.

After doing three more songs, I was now on the last one. "Okay, everyone, it's been great playing for you so far. This song is my last one for tonight. I hope you enjoy it. It's called 'Wrapped Around Your Finger' by 5 Seconds of Summer."

After playing it, the crowd clapped and whistled. "Thank you. Have a great night!" I went into the back room and put my things up. Nathan walked into the room with a puzzled look on his face. "Private room #3 wants you to join them." "Alrighty," I replied, walking towards the door. "Wait. You're not even going to ask me who's in that room?" I shook my head, "No. I know who's in there." "Okay, whatever." He laughed.

I made my way to private room #3 near the stage. I opened the door to reveal four smiling faces.

"You sounded awesome!" The man I recognized as Calum shouted. "I agree," Luke spoke up. "Me too." Michael laughed. "Me four." Ashton motioned for me to sit down.

There were three private rooms in Nathan's bar. Each had two plush couches, a table with chairs, and a minibar and Bluetooth music speakers. You could rent the rooms out if you had a large party visiting the bar. I came up with the idea for him.

Sitting down on the couch, Luke offered me a drink. "No, thank you. I don't drink." He raised his eyebrows, "Cool, cool."

After an hour or so of chatting, I got to know each of them pretty well. The boys were so fun to be around.

"Anyways, Victoria. We have a question for you." Ashton caught my attention. "A question? What is it?"

Michael did a drumroll with his hands against the table.

"Would The Twisted Roses be interested in being our opening act on our upcoming tour?"
