Taraji was getting ready to go shopping with Terrence for some things they needed for their new homes.

Well Terrence was just moving into his mother's basement for the sake of privacy, but it was his own space and he was gonna enjoy it. He was gonna convert it to a studio apartment.

Taraji was moving in with Tracie, so she needed some stuff but not a lot.

"Mommy I already have a list and my credit card. I know my limit plus I have some cash. You don't have to come to the store with us." Taraji said as she laced up her shoes

She wanted to be comfortable today since she was gonna be walking around a lot. She picked a sweat suit.

"I know but are you sure? You know what brands to get so everything can last? You have the list of restricted appliances right?" Bernice asked

"Yes, mama. I have all that. I'm just going to buy some stuff for my bed, I need to order my desk and get some other things. I'm not doing everything today or else I would've taken your card and kept mine at home." Taraji said grabbing her purse

"Okay, I'm just making sure. I want you to be prepared for everything. Oh damn, I'm gon cry again." Bernice said fanning her eyes

"Mama, there's nothing to cry about. I'm not leaving right now. I'm just getting everything together, so I can be prepared. I was gonna leave home sooner or later mama, you knew this." Taraji said

"I know but I just hoped it'd be later. You're going to college, you have an amazing relationship, you're having sex, I- I can't believe it all happened in a year." she said

"Well, I'll be back before 6 so I can pack everything for this weekend. You want me to get anything for the trip while I'm out?" Taraji said

"No, we went shopping while you two were at the movies yesterday. I got your snacks for the ride. Go ahead, Terrence just pulled up." Bernice said looking out the front window

"Don't shoot Bernice! It's me!" Alice said making her presence known

"You the only one with a key to my house that doesn't live here Alice. I knew it was you. That bright ass car your son got gave it away too." Bernice said sitting on her couch

"Yeah, well you never know with you. Hi, monster you look cute baby. This matching thing you and Terrence do is too cute for me." Alice said sitting down

"We're not matching or at least we didn't plan to match. He seriously has on this same sweat suit?" Taraji asked

"Basically, yours is pink, his is red. Ya'll look like a pair of Valentine's Day Candies." Alice said grabbing magazine from the coffee table

"Oh, well I'll leave you two here to talk about people. We'll be back." Taraji said walking out.

She walked down the pathway and to the driveway. Terrence wasn't even paying attention to his surrounding, so she figured she'd scare him.

She snuck around to the driver's side of the car and then got next to the window.She heard him humming along to the radio and she knew he was rolling a blunt by the amount of focus on his face.
