Aaron's POV

"Is Austin still at home?" Annabeth asked as she took a quick glance at her watch.

"Yeah. He's still worrying about people finding out that were his siblings." I said and opened the door to Sonic Boom.

"I still don't get why he's being like this. Like, are we that embarrassing?" Annabeth said as we walked in.

"No. I really don't know, honestly." I said and quickly walked over to the bass guitars.

"You're still wanting to get that bass?" Annabeth said, peeking her head over my shoulder to look at the bass I was looking at.

"Yeah. But, I just can't afford it." I said and sighed as I looked at the price tag.

Annabeth sighed slightly.

"You say that every time we come." She said and I shrugged slightly.

"It's true though." I said and turned to face her.

"No, it's not." She said and walked over to the counter.

"What are you doing?" I said and widened my eyes.

"Hey, um.. That black bass over there. Yeah, my brother wants it." Annabeth said to a guy behind the counter.

The guy nodded slowly and told her the price. She reached in her purse, grabbed her wallet and put the right amount of cash on the counter.

"Alright. It's all yours." She said as she walked over to me and picked the bass up and handed it to me. I had been looking at this bass for months, and I had been working two jobs just to get the money for it.

"B.." I said and she grinned.

"Now you can quit that job you hate so much." She said and I shook my head.

"What about that keyboard you wanted so badly?" I said and she glanced over at the keyboard that she had been wanting.

"It can wait. I know how badly you've been wanting this, and I finally got enough money to be able to get that for you, and still have a little bit of shopping money left." She said and I grinned.

"You didn't have to do this, B." I said and she nodded.

"I don't care if I didn't have to. I wanted to. You're my brother, and I just want to see you be happy." She said and began to walk out the store.

"Wait for me." I said and chased after her.

"That guy at the counter was kinda cute." She said and I laughed softly.

"Oh my gosh." I said and began to laugh.

"What? He was. He had nice light brown hair, brown eyes, and a wonderful smile. Plus, he seemed sweet." She said as we walked back home.

"You've got a crush." I said in a sing-songy tone.

"Oh, shut up." She said as she unlocked the door and we walked inside. I went in my room and gently set my new bass down.
