Damian's Journal:

I had set everything up.

My usual kevlar armor was replaced with padding, that way I had some level of protection. I had my sword sharpened, (which was saying something) and had studied my opponent. My very annoying opponent.

This wasn't going to take long.

I went down to the training room. She was already in there. She seemed to be enthusiastic about helping the team. Of course, when you're trained by Batman and Ra's Al Ghul, you know that things aren't always what they seem. Even with people.

Especially with people.

Anyway, she was hitting an instrument designed to test her abilities. I walked up and said, "Nice hit." with a fake smile on my face.

She gave me a genuine smile and said "Thanks."

"Bet you can't do it when it counts." I said, moving out my arms for her to strike my chest. Knowing  full well she wouldn't.

She poised herself to punch, ran at me, then stopped an inch from my face.

"You best be caref..."

Her voice trailed off as I grabbed her by the arm and kneed her in the solar plexus, knocking the wind out of her.

She fell to the ground.

"Get up."

She got up and attacked me, in a blind rage. Just like I had planned.

I blocked her unaimed punched and knocked her back to the ground.

"You are weak, childish. If you want to be a productive member of this team than try for that, but you have to stop acting like you do."

She attacked again. I twirled her around me and back-kicked her to knock her to the ground again.

"Pathetic."

She charged again. I drew my sword and slashed her a few times. Right when I had an opening, Kori walked in.

"Damian! Donna! What are you doing?"

We both stopped dead. We had been fighting: and infighting was something I'd already gotten in trouble for.

Damnit.

"You two are both to follow me. Right now."

We followed her upstairs. She got Dick to come in and told him what happened. He started to speak his voice starting as a murmur and slowly increasing in volume until he was shouting.

"So, let me get this straight, you got a knew teammate, and you thought it was a good idea to not only to pick a fight with her, but TO FIGHT HER ARMED WITH A REAL SWORD?!?!?

I stared blankly. "Well, when you put it that way, it sounds dumb."

"GEE I WONDER WHY!!!!!

Kori didn't want him to keep yelling. "Dick." Then she turned to me. "Damian, you have to be careful. We can't act like this. We need be unified if we're going to fight the enemies ahead. We can't be creating knew enemies within each other. Do you understand?"

"Yes Kori." I whined.

"You may go."

I walked away, still not sure. Sure, what Kori said made sense, but if that girl didn't straighten herself out...

And why had they let me go but not her? What were they saying behind my back?

I may not know everything, but I know this isn't over.

{Sorry this one is short and a little choppy. Haven't had a lot of time lately. I'll write a longer and better one soon.

I am considering writing another story. A Jason Todd story. I'll let you guys know if I do. Until then, bye.}
