Amber's body was aching, with her pulling herself up out of the bog, and running away from her friends murder site. She was tired and hungry and shaken with so many things going on in the last two days.
She was about to give up and lay down and die, because she knew she wasn't going to live through this, and god forbid she finds something that will help her through this ungodly expedition. As soon as she looked up, an enormous mansion, in the middle of the forest came into view. Her heart leaped at the sight of the omen, and sped up the mountain as fast as her legs could carry her. She kicked down the door, and gasped at the sight of the huge abandoned haven. She dropped her backpack and ran around the huge room, then took off up the spiral staircase. She marvelled at the sight of the top level. It had a gorgeous bathroom, with actual golden swirls that had been manufactured to look like vines around he taps and bench tops and shower heads, with decorations of flowers underneath the intricate illustrations of gold. Just out of pure curiosity, Amber's hand hovered over the light switch, and her finger pushed it until she heard a 'click'.

All of the lights went on, and for a minute, she thought she was pure magic until she heard laughter downstairs, and a door creak open. Amber panicked, and ran into a bedroom across the hall. She looked around in a flurried state and saw a king sized bed, with just enough space for her to squeeze under. She dived under the bed and prayed that the mysterious people would not find her. She wriggled as far as she could to the back of the bed before she hit the wall. Everything was going well until she heard footsteps growing louder each and every step. They were coming up the stairs, fast. And all amber could do was hope they don't find her wedged under the bed. As they were walking down the hallway, Amber felt something jabbing her side. As she reached down to grab the foreign object, she notice it was a leather covered book, fastened with a leather strap and a wax seal. She broke open the wax seal and peered inside. It had dates and writing in it, like a diary but with pictures. They were all pictures of the people that had gone missing. But with their eyes scratched out and captions. Like "Theodora didn't deserve to live, so we put her to dark sleep" and "mayor Therdenfeldt felt we needed mor people to be protected from me, so I put him to dark sleep instead"
Amber read how this mysterious person had used floods and cyclones to cover up their murder tracks, then saw the name on the back of whom it belonged to. The name was. It was Samantha.
