The King. (BBC Sherlock fanfiction) COMPLETED

Chapter 9

The room is lit by a series of lights, there are two beds and each are occupied. The two figures are both unconsious and being examined by doctors in white coats.

The one on the left stirs, and the doctors stand back. Sherlock stretched and opened his eyes.

"Where am I?" Sherlock asked

"Underground brother" Replied Mycroft, stepping into his younger brothers view.

Sherlock rubbed his eyes and a sudden look of panic showed upon his tired yet emotionless face.

"Emma is to your right" Mycroft said, knowing what his brother was going to ask about. "She is still unconsious but should arouse any time soon. They are outstanded that you both havent suffered brain damage"

"Well we are extrodinary" Said Emma, sitting up on her bed and stretching. She had a large lesion on her forehead and brusies around her left hand side of her face. "Do you know what exactly happened Mycroft?" She asked while being checked over by the doctor

"Not at the moment Emma. Weve got our best people looking at it" Mycroft replied "The media have been told it was a gas explosion but their not sure"

"Im certain there will be scare stories brother" Said Sherlock, he also had bruises around his face and the doctors had given him the all clear.

The doctor walked up to Mycroft and handed him a folder. Mycroft flicked through it and beckoned Sherlock and Emma into another room where they sat down.

"Well it seems you two are mentally and physically well enough but they want you to rest so Im giving you Emma a week off work and Sherlock Im telling Lestrade that your not allowed any cases in the next week. Dont do anything that would excert yourselves okay?" Mycroft said sternly

Emma looked annoyed but Sherlock was shooting daggers at Mycroft.

"You cant expect us to spend a week doing nothing Mycroft" Sherlock

"If you dont follow these orders I will have to keep you here." Mycroft said "And you Emma" He added, making Emmas smirk dissapear.

"Im going to have to take up smoking again" Emma muttered

Sherlock chuckled

"You may go. I will be watching you Sherlock and Emma. Theres a car waiting outside to take you back to Baker Street
