Third pov
Oikawa walks into the classroom, a huge smile on his face as Iwaizumi, his best friend, tells him some joke. He sits in his seat, up front, as students from around the room flood around his desk. He laughs, he jokes, he gets along with just about everyone.
"Oikawa-san, how's your morning?" Someone asks to which he turns to them with a huge smile and replies, "great, thanks for asking, yours?" They respond with a 'you're welcome' and 'good'.
The bell rings signalling the start of class. A girl beside him looks in her bookbag frantically for the notes the teacher told everyone to take out. He looks over at her before reaching in his bookbag, grabbing his notebook and putting it on her desk for her to recopy. She blushes and looks at him with unsure eyes. "A-are you sure?" He just smiles, nodding his head, causing her to smile back at him. "Thank you, Oikawa-san." He shakes his head before his best friend scoots his desk as close as possible to his. Oikawa looks at him confused to which he replies, "we'll share notes, trashykawa." He lightly hits Oikawa's shoulder as he faintly smiles.
'Trashy', He thinks,'I know right?' He keeps his thoughts to himself as the teacher starts going over the notes in front of them.
[Lunch]
"Oikawa-san, do you have a second?" Someone yells as they stand by the now open door, panting. He nods, not caring since he hadn't brought lunch anyway. He's been making up excuses so he doesn't have to explain to anyone why he's never been seen eating, thank God he doesn't have to come up with one now, as it's already presented itself. He follows the short boy with Iwaizumi right behind him, humming softly. They pass by a window and Oikawa takes a short glance out of it, it's high enough to be fatal.
'Maybe one day, right?' His thoughts stay to himself as they continue walking and end up in a classroom with the volleyball team in. "Oi." Some say as he and Iwaizumi enter. "Yo." He replies back before sitting on a desk. "Practice today, right?" One of them asks. 'You got me here just to ask me this?' He refrains from saying this as well as rolling his eyes. Instead he just nods. "Good." Someone else says and he hears Iwaizumi sigh. "You brought us here for that?"
"Well, I brought Oikawa-san and you tagged along." Oikawa once again refrains from sighing before turning and looking at his best friend. "Iwa-chan, it's okay." Iwaizumi glares at the boy before setting his eyes on his best friend, his face softening a little. "Okay." Oikawa hears a 'tsk' come from Iwaizumi so he puts his hands on his face, squishing his cheeks. "Smile, Iwa-chan!~" Said boy grumbles before rolling his eyes and lightly smiling at his childish best friend. "You're so cute, Iwa-chan!~"
He blushes, smacking the setter's hands and turning away. "That hurt, Iwa-chan.." He pouts, rubbing his hand gingerly.
'But I deserve it, right?' His thoughts are never voiced, but they sure as hell are loud.
[Practice]
Practice is short lived as the setter can barely breathe and his stomach hurts. "Are you okay?" The voice belonging to his best friend asks. He takes a deep breath before standing and smiling at him. "Never better." 'And I mean never.' That thought was a little too dark for the setter's liking but instead of focusing on it, he focuses on his best friend's expression. "Don't worry, Iwa-chan~" Iwaizumi sighs before nodding slowly.
'Idiot crappykawa, of course I'm gonna worry.' Even without voicing that, it shows all over his face making Oikawa sigh with a small smile. 'I'm glad mine don't come off like his.' The setter smiles wider, walking away to his bag and taking a long drink from his water bottle.
[Home]
Oikawa sits with his back against the wall, looking at the blood running down his hip. He smiles softly as the thick liquid makes its way down the side of his thigh, onto the towel. Even knowing his best friend doesn't know what he's up to, he can still sense the worry that always seem to radiate off of him. 'It's okay, Iwa-chan.' The smile never leaving his lips, he sighs.
After cleaning up his hip, Oikawa finishes his homework and calls it a night.
