"What'd you guys talk about at the hangout a few days ago?" I asked Jonah.

We're all just hanging out at home today. Corbyn is playing video games, Daniel is messing with his guitar, Zach and Jack went to chat up in his room, and Jonah and I are just talking.

"Oh, nothing much." Jonah answered rather quickly.

I stared at him unconvinced, but I nodded anyways. "Okay."

I stood up and walked into the kitchen. On my way past the stairs, I heard two familiar voices; Jack and Zach, arguing.

I grabbed two water bottles from the fridge and quietly crept up the stairs. When I neared Zach's room, I could hear them.

I stopped right outside the open door. Hiding behind the wall beside it, I listened in on their argument.

"She can't stay, Zach!"

"She has to! That girl is everything to me right now!"

"What about bros before h-" Jack started.

Zach cut him off, "Stop, Jack! This is rediculous! Why don't you like her?"

Silence. That's all he got in return.

"See?" Zach said. "There isn't any reason to not love Valorie. She's amazing, but only if you'd realize that."

"No." Jack scoffed. "I'm not accepting her. She's just a spoiled rich brat that just happened to stumble into you. And you being so vulnerable, accepted her invitation. You're the reason that half the band doesn't want her here!"

Ouch.

"Jack!" Zach yelled at the curly headed boy.

I stepped into the doorway. I cleared my throat, making both boys stop and stare at me.

"I, um, brought you two some water." I said with a small voice.

I put both hands out towards the two. Jack was the first to make a move. Then, Zach. I let my hands fall to my sides, and my gaze to the ground.

"Valorie." Jack spoke.

Silence.

"Valorie." Zach said this time.

I looked up and met his guilty gaze. It seemed as though my voice had vanished.

"Were you listening?" Jack asked softly for once.

I shrugged and folded my arms. As Jack was about to speak again, I ran to my room and locked the door behind me.

I pressed my back against it and put my head on my palms. I screamed in frustration, ignoring the pounding fists on the other side.

I grabbed a suitcase out of my closet and started packing some clothes and necessities. The pounding had ceased to exist a few minutes ago.

I zipped the suitcase and set it by the door. I knew I'd be back soon, but I couldn't be here right now.

I grabbed my phone and called my friend who lives in LA.

"Hello?"

"Laura." I breathed out.

"Valorie, are you okay? I haven't heard from you in so long." She said.

"I'm not the best right now." I paused. "Can I come stay at your place? For a few days maybe?"

Laura chuckled, "Drama at the house?"

"You know it." I answered truthfully.

"Alright, you remember where I live right?"

"Yes, ma'am." I packed my charger and earbuds.

"See you when you get here." She hung up.

I shut the lights off and unlocked the door. I carefully placed my stuff by the door. I walked into the kitchen and saw the each of the boys searching through supplies drawers.

"Where is that key?!" Corbyn said frustrated. He slammed the drawer shut and turned to the other boys, not even noticing me.

I slipped out the door and into my newest car. I sighed and looked at the house in front of me, then slowly started the engine.

I drove to Laura's and parked in front. After grabbing my suitcase, I started towards the front door.

Before I could even reach it, she yanked the door open. Laura smiled widely and rushed down towards me at the bottom of the steps.

"I missed you so much!" She wrapped her arms around me. I quickly hugged her back.

"I missed you more." I laughed.

Laura pulled back and took a deep breath. "Come inside, girly."
