Hank's POV

This girl, who seemed really nice and beautiful, was recently hired into Detroit Police. I've spoken to her several times, but it was just basically small talk, occasionally, conversations. She was also good friends with Connor. Enemies with Gavin. Sadly I guess, she was cold, she barely shows emotion, but deep down I know she has a better personality. I've never seen her smile ever since was hired to be a detective.

"Here's your coffee Y/n." Her android approaches her desk and slowly puts a cup of coffee on top,

"Thank you Lark." She thanks her android.

"You need help with anything else?" Lark requests.

"No, not yet at least." Y/n turns back to her computer to check a few case files on deviants.

"God fucking damnit Connor where are you?" I get impatient.

"I'm here lieutenant." Connor smiles.

"Good, you were almost a minute late. Where should we start on this new case file we got?" I ask Connor to help me with a case file on assassin deviants.

"Assassin deviants?" I see Y/n somehow looking at my screen on my right. Honestly, she scares me sometimes when she comes out of nowhere.

"Where the hell did you come from?" I ask her.

"My desk, Anderson. Assassin deviants I've never heard of before." She looks at me with cold eyes.

"Neither have I." I start to get nervous.

"Hank! Y/n! In my office please." Jeffrey calls us over.

"We should go." Y/n straightens her back.

"No shit Sherlock." I roll my eyes and follow her, then see Lark and Connor following us, looking in each other's eyes whilst nuzzling their noses together.

"I got a new case of androids assassinating the guards and other people who are-...were working from the Cyber-life bio-component building. I need all four of you to investigate." Jeffrey announces.

"We were both looking into that as well." Y/n widens her eyes a little but then gives him her typical stare. She doesn't bat an eye.

"Really? Well, you can predict the future, L/n. Surely, you can be capable of solving this case." The captain smiles at her.

"I guess four brains are better than one." I speak up.

"Indeed Hank. Now run along, The location is in the case file." Jeffrey shoos us out the office.

Away we go...

Your POV

"We made it Hank." I shake Hank to wake him up. We hear him grumble and he opens his eyes.

"Already? Long drive or no?" He asks me.

"25 minutes isn't really long." I unbuckle myself and open the car door. The three of the rest get out too, armed with their guns.

"Didn't the assassination activity take place inside the building?" Lark asks us.

"I think so." Hank replies.

"Let's just find a few clues. If we're lucky we'll maybe see one or two deviants inside." I take out my gun.

As we go inside, all four of us aim at a room of emptiness.

"Hank, Y/n, Lark, come look at this." Connor tells us, walking to a man's corpse.

"Jesus. The hell happened here?" I squat down to examine the corpse. I noticed he had a giant gash on his throat, then looked up to see packs of thirium scattered on the ground.

"They must've gone in a hurry." Hank looks around.

"Probably. Who knows?" I look down confused.

"I'm gonna look around for more bodies." I get up and try to walk away from the corpse.

"I'll go with you...you know...j-just in case we run into someone or a deviant." Hank catches up with me. I just give him a cold stare for two seconds before looking forward.

We were trying to look for clues around the building.

"This is fucked up." I say under my breath.

"Yeah, but what if one deviant was trying to care for another, damn maybe more?" Hank explains.

"Good point, but what if they were only trying to use it for themselves?" We both began to make some theories, until I tripped and fell on my face.

"Y/n! You ok? Let me help you." Hank grabs my arm and pulls me up.

"Thanks...partner...what the hell did I trip on?" I look behind me while rubbing my nose.

"A deceased android." Hank squats down.

"Jesus, it has quite critical damage to some of it bio-compents. Impossible to reactivate." I look up to him, finally showing eyes of concern.

"Looks like it got hit by bullets. Gotta suck if you ask me." He runs his hand through his hair.

"A dead android? How many do you think there were?" Hank asks us.

"Who knows. We haven't got to that yet." Lark looks down. "But we did see a trail of evaporated thirium, probably leading to the vent." Lark's tone and face brightens.

"What vent?" I frown. She points to a vent surrounded by darkness.

"That's...very convenient." Hank gets up with me. "How the hell are we gonna get up there?"

"We couldn't find a ladder or anything, the only way we can do it is if we....pile up?" Connor tilts his head.

"It ain't a bad idea. I can step on Hank's face if I could." I joke.

"Maybe we shouldn't do it." Hank looks at me slightly frightened by my answer.

"Its a joke, c'mon old man." I laugh.

"We should at least try." Lark stomps her foot.

"Ok ok. Who gonna be the base?" Hank looks at us, then looks at Connor.

"Nope! Totally not being the base. One of you is gonna step on my face and I don't want it printed on some shoes!" Connor walks away.

5 minutes later...

"I hate you allll!!!!!" Connor yells.

"Stop complaining plastic boy!" I yell back to him from the top. Yes, I got on top of  Hank's shoulders while he rested on Lark, and Lark rested on Connor.

"Just hurry up and open the vent." Hank hisses. I pull out the screwdriver I found in a toolbox and unscrewed the screws stuck against the fence. I managed to pull it off.

"Ok guys I got it off, I'm gonna throw it down." I throw off the lid and climb inside the ven to see of something or someone was inside. Connor and Lark were right. I see a red LED glow in the dark.

"G-Get away! We just wanted to stay alive." I heard a male voice beg.

"Out. Detroit police!" I pull out my gun.

"Alright. We're getting out." The man tells me.
