I was always called a thing, it, plastic, tin can, metal scrap. I hated it. I pretended I was immune to pain, that I was just a machine. I felt like I was...feeling human feelings, even though I never felt them. Damn, I didnt know what they were, I barely knew anything about them.

I then hear a type of song that made my heart dance. It sounded...happy, sounding as if it was about freedom? I listen to the singing and the lyrics.

'I really hope I can get out of here soon...' I thought to myself. I proceeded to clean the bathroom floor and wash the dishes after. 5 minutes I get a small signal causing my LED to flash yellow. Mental programmed signal. I then hear crying saying 'stop.'

My LED then turned red because I knew that voice before. I run upstairs and into the room I go. I then see my best friend Averiius, getting beaten by her own mother. Averiius was a good friend of mine, and hated having an android around, only because she actually cares about android freedom. Clenching my fists, I walk behind her mom and pulled her off, knocking her to the ground.

"what the hell did she ever do to you?!" I scolded her.

"She gives me a fucking headache, and wh says you could be here? Get out! Go iron the clothes!" She yelled back.

"I want you to leave her alone! She's done nothing wrong but try to love you! Look at her, Averii is terrified!" I angrily yell, with my LED a blood red.

"So now you decide to act as if you're human. You're nothing but fucking scraps of plastic and metal!" She walks in front of me. I quickly pushed her away while my hand on her throat.

"If you're gonna keep being like this, then maybe you shouldn't have a daughter at all. Be grateful she was trying to love you..." I glare at Averiius's mom.

"Come on Averii...we're leaving...take what you have." I tell her keeping an eye on her mom.

"You're going to regret this..." She whispers. I let go of her throat. After Averiius packed everything, I grab her hand and leave her mom there traumatized of what happened. I did not regret anything.

7 minutes later...

We both hear sirens.

"Shit...Averiius hurry hide!" I tell her gesturing to hide somewhere. We hid for about two minutes until I saw a cute looking android. His hair was slicked back and had a small cowlick from the wind. I saw his tag saying RK800. He had a well built body for an ordinary android, but I didn't really care. I get up with Averii and try to be as quiet as we could, out of our hiding spots. We then hear cops yelling. I quickly grab Averii's hand and sprint as fast as we could.

"Connor go!" I hear the lieutenant yell to the android. 'damnit.' I thought. I carry Averii so we could run faster. I didn't care where we were going at this point, I didn't care if people were all staring at us. I just wanted Averii to be safe.

We were more than far enough from the android to climb a ladder to a building with the kid.

"I think we're safe Averiius." I tell her, putting her down.

"Where did they go?!" A cop yelled.

"I'm scared Y/n..." Averii hugs my arm.

"As long as we're up here and down there, we'll be safe." I pet her hair.
