"Yuu,"
Shinoa Hiragi-Hyakua had always been curious about her husbands family. She had not seen them at the wedding, even with the birth of their son; Yuu's family hadn't shown up to meet their new grandson/nephew/cousin. (Besides Guren and Mikaela.) Yuu looked up from his laptop to meet her curious gaze.
"Hmm?"
Knowing it may be a touchy subject and a matter not to push, she chose her words carefully.
"Have you...have you ever considered seeing your family? Or at least contacting them?" She just needed to know. Yuu took a moment to register her words and sighed. Closing and setting his laptop down, he answered.
"I've considered visiting yes. I've even considered contacting them. However, my family is...interesting to say the least. May I ask what brought up this conversation?" He asked while rubbing the back of his neck. 'Nervous. He's nervous and anxious.' She remembered what Mikaela had told her the night before their wedding."If you ever see Yuu rubbing his neck or tapping his leg. He's either nervous or anxious." He turned to face her. Shinoa nodded as thanks to her soon to be brother in law. "Thank you Mikaela. I'll remember that."
"Well, I'm just curious is all. I heard Yusaku talking to his friends not so long ago about how he doesn't know any of his cousins at all." She fiddled with her thumbs. Yuu sighed as he walked over to the coach she had been laying a-crossed on. His tall frame towered over her very small stature. "Y-Yuu..."
"I just don't know. My family is pretty...interesting to say the least. I also know your parents aren't the best grandparents either." He picked her up off the couch. "And we both have some conflicting issues with our family's...but now, I do believe it may be time both Yusaku and you get to meet my family."
Shinoa nearly exploded with excitement. "When!" She smiled.
"I'll see how soon my mother can see us. But Yusaku may have to miss some school." He replied. Shinoa only hugged her husband and buried her face into his chest. Yuu could smell the vanilla lavender shampoo and conditioner his wife used in her hair. 'Let's just hope that it's just mom and pa at the house.' Yuu prayed as he rocked his wife back and forth in their apartment living room.Yusaku looked up at the old house tentatively. He had both good and bad times there was the car pulled up. Shinoa and his son had long gone to sleep as it was 1:30 am when they arrived at the Hyakyua household. It wasn't a small house nor was it a mansion. Though is was a cozy 3 floor house-like cabin in the woods that was big enough to house at least 4 families. Okay, so maybe he did try and cover up the fact his family was almost as rich as the Hiragi's but that was beside the point. A lamp turned on within the house as he quietly opened his car door. A slender woman with brown hair and green eyes appeared on the porch wrapped in a pink shall. He recognized her immediately, his mother. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach as the woman approached him. Had she been waiting for them to arrive all night? Where was his step-father? How would she react to the faces of his wife and son? His mother gave him a soft smile before opening her arms wide. Yuu's voice caught in this throat. He walked his way up to his mother and returned the hug. "Welcome home Yūichirō," His mother had to stand on her tip toes just to pat his head. "My, have you grown." His mother commented before peering over his shoulder at the two sleeping bodies within the car. "Is this your wife and son? My she's a beauty...and your son, oh what an adorable thing he is. Looks just like you when you were younger." His mother walked over to the car window. "I'll have Han's take care of your luggage. You take you wife and child upstairs. There's already been two rooms prepped for you." His mother whispered. Yuu nodded in response and opened the the back seat door.
"Hey Yusaku, wake up. We're here." Yuu gently shook his son awake. Yusaku's small eyes fluttered open.
"Papa..." Yusaku rubbed his eyes and felt his father take him out of the car. His eyes still hadn't adjusted to the dark but he could make out another figure standing behind his father.
"You must be Yusaku? I'm your Papa's, mama." The woman outstretched her hand to him. Yusaku took it and looked up at the woman. She had green eyes just like him and his father.
"Are you my Grandma?"
"Yes."
"It's very...*yawn*...nice to meet you." Yusaku fought against sleep in order to stay awake.
"Oh dear, don't push yourself to stay awake. Go back to sleep." Yuu watched his mother pick up Yusaku and walk until the house. Now was the issue of his wife who still hadn't awoke from her slumber. Chuckling to himself, he opened the passenger-seat door and unbuckled his wife. Lifting her into his arms was easy. Her small stature made her feel as though he had been carrying air itself. Han's the family butler walked out and bowed to him in respect.
"Welcome home Mr. Hyakyua. I'll see to it your luggage it moved to your rooms as quietly as possible."
Yuu gave him a thankful smile as he passed him the car keys.
"Don't forget to lock the car."
"Dear boy, you forget who's the best butler of the Hyakyua family."
"Thank you Han's." Yuu finally walked into the house with his sleeping wife in arms. Maybe the next few weeks would be so bad. He though wrong.Shinoa blinked a couple times as she lifted the glass of mimosa up to her mouth. The morning has been hectic to say the least. Children rushing to meet their new cousin. Yūichirō's sisters, aunts, and cousin's all surrounded the poor lavender haired woman, bombarding her with questions. Finally they all sat down for breakfast. Surprisingly there was peace. That was until one of Yuichiro's male cousin's asked a question neither one was prepared for. "So Yuu, how'd you knock up one of the Hiragi's?" Shinoa watched a piece of her Husband die that day.
