Two possibilities exists:
Either we are alone in the universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.
-Arthur C. Clarke

"Fight it Shinoa! Don't let it consume your heart!!"

His voice was always so sweet and sound to her ears. Whether it was laced with worry or anger, happiness or flustered, she always found it enjoyable. Now in her last and probably final moments, all she could hear was his voice calling out to her. Encouraging her to fight back in futile battle. A battle against a supernatural being. Shinoa felt her struggle coming to an end when the door to her heart closed and the hand around her neck tighten. Her senses became clouded and her body began to loose all feeling as pain turned into numbness. And awareness turned into drowsiness. Light turned to dark.

"Time to wake up Noa-Chan!" The monster flashed his white fanged smile. 'Where am I?' Shinoa thought as her eyes slowly awoke from what seemed to be a deep dark sleep. "Oh Noa-Chan, you know very well where you are." The demon with white feathered wings smiled before her. 'Did he just read my...'
"Oh of course I can Noa-Chan. After all I am borrowing your body."
"You mean to say 'taken' my body."
" 'Taken' is a strong word to describe it. Like I said, I am simply borrowing it."
"Stop talking like my body is just some sort of tool for you to use!"
"But it is."
"Who are you Shi-Chan!"
"Oh Noa-Chan, that's the wrong question to be asking, the better question is 'What am I'?"
"Shut up!"
Suddenly she had no control over her own spiritual body. The demon cackled as her spirt was sent crashing into an invisible wall. Shinoa found herself flat on some sort of unseeable surface. When she found some sort of control and attempted at picking herself up, she was flung backwards and hit another unseeable wall. Again and again she was thrown about this black empty space. Each time she was flung the wind would be knocked right our of her and pain consumed every inch of her being. How she was still awake during all of this and not passed out was beyond her understanding. She was so tried, so so very tired.
"Fufufu! If we're being honest Noa-Chan I don't quite fancy this."
"Then stop."
"There's no humor or entertainment in it."
"Then stop."
"No."
And with that she was thrown so hard into the invisible surface she actually did get knocked out. But this time it was not of her own will.

Her eyes fluttered open as she looked at where she was. They were back at the Imperial Demon Army, but no one was around. This world was void of any human, vampire, or demon presence. Where had she gone? With each step she took it echoed in the void as she walked down the hallway. There was no life. No movement. No real sounds excepted for the sounds she was making. Running her hands along the wall she walked on until she saw the outside. It was the same as before. The beautiful destruction of mankind and all its creations. For some reason Shinoa found no sadness or anger in this matter. For ounce everything was actually peaceful. Suddenly the sound of running water reached her ears. It was coming from the quarters where every Imperial soldier was stationed. Curious and skeptical Shinoa made her way over to the building. "This may be a trick so stay on your guard Shinoa." She told herself as she took steps closer and closer to the vacant building. "The demon could be up to anything." Walking inside, she took every step with caution. Every move she took was thought out and planned. But, if what Shi had told her was true, and he knew every thought she made up, there was no point in even doing anything. And with that she straightened her back and walked on not caring what would happen to her. As she ascended high into the building the noise of water became louder and louder. Soon she found herself on a very familiar floor. It was his floor. "Why is the noise so full on Yuu's floor?" She inquired. Pushing forwarded she came to his door. The origin of the sound was definitely being amplified from his apartment. Taking a deep breathe in and exhaling she entered the room. The atmosphere felt awful. The place she found to be safe and sound was no longer what she remembered it to be. It was cold and dark. The apartment had lost all its warmth and light. There was no homey and safe feeling about it. There was only emptiness. Everything was neat and tidy. Normally Yuu would have it messy and unkept. But most importantly water was covering the entire floor. When she had fully entered the room the door behind her slammed shut. Quick as she had ever been, Shinoa pried at the door handle but it would not budge. "Damnit!" She hissed. Finding no means of escape Shinoa sighed frustrated that she had fallen for a trap. Moving on into the kitchen she found the faucet running and the basin overflowing with water, spilling and filling the ground till it was covered. As she approached the sink the running water noise had stopped. Everything was silent. Reaching out to turn the handles on off Shinoa found herself staring down into her reflection within the water. A feeling of disgust washed over her as she saw what she had become smiling wickedly at her. In the real world she was laughing, but it was not her own laugh, it was the laugh of Shikama Dōji, her demon. Shinoa knew she had a pale skin complexion, but the reflection had an even more pale skin. Her smile contained pearly white fangs, and the wings sprouting from her back gave away she was not human anymore. "This is what we've become Noa-Chan."
"No!" She screamed. The water from the faucet started back up again and began to overflow ounce more, water began pouring back onto the floor. Thats when she noticed the shadow hands pulling her down into the ground. They grabbed and yank at everything as she struggled against them. Ounce they had pulled her down into their realm Shinoa found herself thirsty. But it was not the kind of thirst for water or a sweet drink. No, it was the kind of thrust for blood. The very red colored liquid that surrounded this world. "Help...someone help me..." she made the signal for chocking, grabbing as her neck. The thirst was unbearable. "Please help..."
Anyone

Small copper eyes opened up to a stream of light coming through the pink curtains. Yawning the child looked around at their surroundings, their older sister sat in a chair sleeping soundly. "Mahiru? Did you stay with me all night?" Their small voice croaked out.
The older lavender haired girl stirred from her sleep before opening her eyes. "Oh your awake Shinoa, did your fever go down?"
Shinoa lifted a small child hand to touch her forehead. For some reason she felt as though this wasn't right. But at the same time, if made her happy, so she went with it.
"Mmhmm!" She replied with a nod and smile. "Big sis, you won't believe the dream I had!"
"Oh? What was it about?"

"My Prince Charming on a white stallion!"
