Chapter 3- Enter the Evergarden Dormitory

Ash's POV

I was walking down the main road after school. After the incident with the two girls nothing really exciting happened. I was holding a piece of paper with directions written on it. I stopped for a brief second and looked around then back down at the paper in my hands. I thought 'this is the place' I looked up again and there stood a two story house that looked kinda girly. but I didn't pay attention to it. I walked into the supposed dormitory Gary lived at. I looked around and a woman came in and looked at me. Her eyes widened.

"How can I help you darling?" she asked sweetly. I looked up at her and then looked down at the paper in my hands "uhh yeah I'm looking for Evergarden Dormitory"

her eyes widened "Is your name by any chance Ash?"

I looked up "yeah that's me, why do you ask?" I questioned. She laughed nervously, "umm just go on in and make yourself at home." she replied tentatively almost like she was hiding something VERY important. though like normal I ignored it. I went inside and looked around. It was a tad quiet. At least for an all guy dorm. I guessed they went out or something, so I walked in and looked around. I came to the end of the hallway and I entered the living room. what I saw made me extremely shocked. there was a total of four girls on the couch watching an anime of some sort. Correction, May Maple, Dawn Berlitz, Misty Waterflower, and Serena Yvonne. My eyes twitched as I mentally cursed Gary. He was the one who paid for me living here. I thought 'Damn he planned this'

Again I was snapped out of my thoughts as the Dorm Mother walked in and saw me staring in shock. She strode into the living room nonchalantly . "Ok girls the new room mate has arrived." They stopped what they were doing and looked at the Dorm Mother. I had hid behind the wall having a complete melt down. I heard Misty squeal "Oooh I hope she likes anime!!" then May said "Yeah a new Girl to talk to will be nice" Dawn was jumping "Well where is she?" and finally Serena Laughed "Should we give her a proper welcome?" this caused a series of giggles which made me shudder. The Dorm Mother laughed nervously, and turned to me and beckoned. I growled and thought 'Gary you are gonna regret this' and I walked out from behind the wall.

I looked around the now dead silent room and inwardly groaned. The dorm mother smiled "This young man had a slight mishap and ended up paying for his stay here. The money is already in the system, so we couldn't refund him..... which means he is now living here" I looked at the faces of each girl and I huffed. I turned and walked upstairs. leaving four utterly shocked girls. Once I reached my room I walked in shut and locked the door and laid down on the king sized bed in the center of the room. I stared at the ceiling for several hours until I heard a voice shout "DINNER!!" I mentally prepared myself for the most awkward dinner in my life, and got up. I changed into a black tank top and black gym shorts. and walked out and down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen and fixed a plate of food. I walked into the dining room looked around the table. I sighed and walked over to the empty seat at the end of the table away from everybody else. I sat and started to eat. I listened to the conversations being held at the other end of the table. It was like I was never even there. I closed my eyes and thought 'its like I'm a ghost' I opened them and ate the rest of my food. I sat there for a few minutes. Nobody seemed to even notice I was there. I'm not gonna lie it hurt my pride. I finally spoke up "Thanks for the food but it woulda been nice to actually have a conversation at a dinner table after being completely alone for the past three years." and with that I walked out and into the Kitchen I put my plate in the sink and put my hands in my pockets. I noticed the dining room went completely silent. I walked into my room and changed into a pair of jeans and put a white hoodie on. I put on a pair of shoes and walked downstairs.

Everybody watched as I came down and walked over to the door "where are you going so late?" asked Misty

"Out" I replied coldly. I opened the door and went outside. I absentmindedly roamed around the city of vaniville. and it started to snow. I hadn't realized it had gotten so late in fact I had been wandering for more than four hours. it was snowing heavily and I was on my way back to the dorm. I heard someone shout my name. I walked toward the voice and I came upon May who was wearing her PJs out in the snow about two miles from the dorm. I rushed over and immediately took my hoodie off and put it on her I wrapped and arm around her and held her for a few seconds "May I swear, what in the world are you doing?" I noticed the tears streaming down her face. "I'm so sorry Ash" she buried her face into my tank top. I sighed "its ok lets just get home"

I led her toward the dorm. When we finally reached the dorm I opened the door and we walked in. "sit down I'll get you some cocoa" She sat down on the sofa. When I made sure she had done this I hurried into the kitchen and fixed up some home made cocoa. I had a little help from Infernape of course cause I needed it to get hot faster. After it was ready I shouted "There's hot cocoa in the kitchen!!!" I heard several footsteps hurry down the stairs and into the kitchen. I was standing in the doorway to the Living room. They looked straight at me. I smiled and Bowed "I thought I would fix us up some nice hot cocoa since its practically a blizzard outside"

Serena glared at me "Yeah and poor May went out to find you idiot."

I looked down "Yeah I can see that, Damn I hate Gary." I growled through gritted teeth. As soon as I said Gary's name Misty blushed and looked down. "Why do you hate him?" she asked shyly. I looked at her "Well first off he paid for my room here and told me it was the dorm he lived in. And second I don't Hate him, I just hate his ego." She looked up at me eyes watering "I-I'm sorry.." I laughed "Hey don't cry now.." She sniffed and nodded. Serena smiled "Thanks for the cocoa Ash" I nodded "Your welcome Serena." I then felt something rush into me then I heard crying. I looked down and it was Misty. I placed a hand on her head "Now what did I just say about crying?" She sniffled and looked up at me "I-I cant help it.. I never got to say thank you for saving Dawn and I.. if y-you wouldn't have come when you did." she then started to uncontrollably sob. I sighed and stroked her vibrant orange hair. "I want to make something clear, If any of you four end up in a situation like that again. Don't hesitate to scream my name." they looked at each other. "cause I'll rip apart anyone who lays a hand on you like that again" I continued with a hint of pure rage in my voice.

I let go of Misty and grabbed a mug. I filled it up with cocoa and walked out of the kitchen and back into the living room. I handed the cocoa to May who was shivering uncontrollably. I ran to my room and grabbed a few heavy blankets. I ran back down to may and I handed them to her. she wrapped herself up like a burrito. I then looked at her and laughed "Now how are you going to drink your cocoa?" I asked with an amused tone. She looked at me and puffed her cheeks out which made me laugh harder cause she looked so cute. I stopped after a few minutes and gave her a warm smile. "You look cute when you are flustered"

This made her face turn a light shade of pink. I looked at her and sighed "Though seriously how the heck are you going to drink your cocoa when you are wrapped so tight you look like a caterpie?"

I looked at her for a few more seconds and I smiled. I unwrapped her and handed her the cocoa. I laid the blankets over her and I nodded "There now you wont look like a Caterpie trying to be a swiss cake roll" I said with a hint of a playful tone. She suddenly stared into my eyes which made me jump back a bit "what?" I asked a tad scared. "Your eyes are different" she said with a smile "They are warm opposed to the cold and harsh ones from earlier" She explained. I closed my eyes "Enjoy them while you can cause tomorrow they will most likely be gone" I said with a grim tone laced in every letter.

She smiled "Well I will then" she said while dragging me under the blankets. After she got to a comfortable position she rested her head in the crook of my neck, and sighed in content. smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. My eyes became heavy as I drifted off to sleep I smiled and thought 'Maybe just maybe life here wont be so bad' I fell asleep smiling, something I hadn't done since the day I disappeared and became a 'Ghost.'

Thus Ash found himself living in the Evergarden dormitory.
