Working multiple jobs to pay rent and school fees while studying was never an easy task and ever since the New York incident 5 months, Loki has been working under the Avengers to help payback for what he has done. But ever since then things have only gone downhill for me.

But in a way, I didn't regret anything nor got angry. I was going to be alright. I knew that when he held my hand.

"Look what you've done (L/n)!" My boss shouted angrily at me in front of the costumers. The bar was full of families that huddled together to watch the 4th of July celebration on the television.

I was serving drinks, when a kid bumped into me, causing me to fall and the drinks to spill on to people and the glass to break into pieces on the ground.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to", I said back, my voice breaking. I could feel everyone's eyes on me as he continued to scold me. Tears welled up in my eyes.

"You're fired!" He shouted as he walked away to go and apologize to the costumers.

Quickly, I ran out the bar so that no one could see the tears that about to spill. I was never one to take insults kindly.

After that, I decided to find another job quickly to hold up my finances.

"Everything is alright mom", I said through the phone "I just had to call and check, be careful alright", she said through the phone.

"I always am, my goal isn't too far from my reach, for now I'll have to work hard", I said.

"It's always hard, just don't ever give up on your dreams", she said.
