"Can I please have a picture with you?" Loki didn't pay attention to the (h/c) head girl that was asking him a question and instead went back to looking at the shelves in the supermarket (that was near his new apartment).

Why would he?

It wasn't like he had any fans, they all ran to his brother Thor. So when ever someone asked for an autograph or a photo, he would ignore them.

On the other hand, the (h/c) hair female, known as y/n, felt a bit hurt at the fact that her favourite hero wasn't paying attention to her.

Yes, hero.

Ever since the infinity War had ended, he had surprised everyone with being alive and helping them all succeed in the war. They accepted him back and thus he decided to follow his brother's path to become one of Earth's mightiest heroes in a way to amend for his sins.

Though not everyone was fond of that idea. The man who destroyed New York killing many and nearly caused  invasion on Earth was said to be protecting them.

And at first, even y/n didn't like that idea. But her opinions changed drastically when she had an encounter with the man while walking home from work. Her mind was occupied with happy thoughts of finally being able to dump her boyfriend of 5 months who was cheating on her, —she could care less about what he did, only grateful her feelings for him was already gone— that she didn't realise that someone was following her.

And when she did it was too late.

Loki who was at the time walking by, noticed the scene and immediately intervene saving the damsel in distress.

Loki, to her surprise, was a gentleman enough to walk her back to her apartment.

She gave her gratitude, they spoke for a bit but they both knew that they would not see each other again.

It had been 4 months since then and she found herself becoming a fan of his. Not that she minded.

Breathing out, y/n tried again to grab his attention.

"Excuse me Loki", Loki was surprised to hear a female voice call out to him. He turned immediately to face her.

He exhaled, y/n watching him closely, ready to word her question again, but he began before her, leaving her in surprise.

"My brother isn't with me, so you can't get a photograph with him", Loki said in annoyance.

Y/n's brows furrowed together, her eyes scanning over his expression. He was annoyed she could tell that much. But the way he said his statement.

'He probably doesn't get appreciated a lot', she thought with a frown.

"Actually Loki, I wanted a picture with you." She said carefully as to not annoy him further.

Loki's eyes widened a fraction, shock visible on his face. Y/n giggled lightly at his expression.

"A picture with me?" He questioned slowly as she nodded.

Loki scanned the girl over, not sure whether it was a prank or not. Because for someone to just walk up to him and ask for a photo to be taken with him while he was shopping was a bit absurd.

'But... She looks like someone I have met before', that thought didn't sit well with him. If it was someone he met before it must be an enemy.

Y/n on the other met his calculating gaze, not sure what was going on in his head, but he did seem to be a bit troubled. So she spoke again.

"U-uh, I didn't think you would remember me, since it's been four months since you saved me, but I really would like a photo with you", she said with a bit more confidence.

Then it snapped in his mind why the girl seemed so recognizable.

His shoulders that he hadn't realised were so tense had relaxed. He somehow felt stupid for thinking that she could be an enemy and even stupider for not recognizing the girl he had saved only four months back. He had never forgotten her in the first place. Maybe it was because of the fact she was the first to not bring up his brother or ask to meet him but instead praised him for rescuing her. The girl was so calm and talked so easily around him that he wondered if she really knew who he was.

What he remembered more clearly about that night was her confession.

"I never liked you at first", she began. Loki frowned.

"I never liked that you are now one of Earth's mightiest heroes. But I forgot to never judge a book by it's cover. You changed my opinion. Thank you again for saving me", she said before entering her apartment.

He found it a bit ironic at how he was roaming the streets because of the fact that he would never be accepted and then there she was the girl he saved telling him her opinions of him had changed.

Loki looked down at the girl that was still waiting on his response. He smiled.

"Forgive me for not remembering you sooner", Loki said nervously.

Y/n frowned not sure whether or not he was trying to be nice to her or he really was genuine.

"You don't have to lie-", he interrupted her "Y/n, right?" He asked as she gaped at him.

She scrambled to grab her thoughts.

"Y-you remember me?" She asked astonished as he nodded.

"Of course I would", he said "Now, you wanted a picture with me?" He questioned her.

She nodded, a grin making it's way up on her face.

"Thank you so much!" She exclaimed as he smiled at her softly.

With that they took multiple selfies till y/n was satisfied.

"This means a lot thank you again. You're really amazing." Loki blushed as the female threw another praise at him.

Gathering himself he called out to the girl that was about to walk away from him, a basket of her groceries in her hand.

She turned around upon hearing her name and looked at him.

Loki cleared his throat before voicing his thoughts, "Would you like to have a drink with me after our shopping?" He asked.

Y/n looked at him in shock before responding "I'd love to." She said as she fell back to his side.

Loki smiled at her, nodding. Satisfied, that he wasn't rejected by his first fan. With that they continued their shopping together, chatting animatedly with each other about their lives as if they were old friends.

Y/n smiled as the man beside her talked about his life in his new apartment since he moved from the tower. She was happy that she decided to become his fan.

As he was happy that he became her hero.
