T.W. Mentions of Anxiety/Panic Attack
Ever since Logan had the debate with Virgil, he found himself more and more intrigued with the darker side. He wasn't sure why, and he definitely didn't want to ask Roman or Patton, since they'd tell him it was more than likely to do with icky emotions, and he did not want to deal with those.
He would watch Virgil from afar, taking note of every little thing he did. At first he thought it was just because of him hissing, and he wanted to see if he had any more connections to a cat, but over time, it grew to be more than that. He grew to be infatuated with him. He noticed when he would start getting anxious, or when he found something funny, but didn't want to admit it. Logan noticed his quirks, and flaws, and everything about him. But most of all, he noticed how his own feelings towards Virgil amplified.
He didn't want to feel things towards Virgil, not that there was anything wrong with it, but he knew if he felt things, they wouldn't be returned, and he'd probably end up being hurt. He didn't know much about any of that, but he didn't want to. He didn't want to end up in the same boat as Thomas, after his last break up, and he did not want to become on of the emotional traits. He was Logic for crying out loud! He shouldn't be feeling these kinds of things.
He looked around his room, his eyes settling on his notebook, full of the research he'd been conducting on Virgil. He called it research, but it wasn't, it was mostly him pining, and pretending to be writing stuff down, just to make it look like he was doing something useful.
A knock at the door pulled him from his trance, and he forced himself to answer the door, knowing if he didn't, he would end up worrying whoever was on the other side. He stopped short when he heard sniffles coming from the person on the other side.
Worry overtaking him, he opened the door, a little too quickly, startling the darker side stood on the outside of his room. Virgil looked at him with wide eyes, tears falling freely, and quite frankly, he looked a mess. However, Logan didn't care, he just wanted to take care of him, and he let him into his room.
"Are you alright, Virgil?" He knew it was a ridiculous question to ask, when clearly he wasn't okay. He didn't seem to be in a state of panic, but Logan couldn't be one hundred percent sure, since Virgil could hide it rather easily.
"I... Am I just some research project for you?" Virgil;s eyes were wide, and Logan could see the pain and fear in them. He wasn't sure why Virgil would be so upset, it's not like Logan was researching him, not exactly. But, he didn't know that, and he had every right to be upset, but did it mean anything that Virgil was upset with it?
Maybe Logan was reading too much into it, he didn't really know, he didn't understand any of it, but he hoped that Virgil did reciprocate his feelings, but now wasn't the time to bring them up. Was it?
"No. You are not. I have not been investigating you... I was just... fascinated by you. I wanted to know more, so I watched you. That sounded worse than I intended."
"Wait... What?"
"I like you. More than I like Roman or Patton. I do not understand it, but maybe you do? You are not as over the top about it as they are."
"It sounds like you have a crush dude... But on me? Of all people, why? When?"
"After the debate we had, when we were helping Thomas, I realised there was something more between us, and I could not help but feel... entranced by you."
"But, I'm bland..."
"No. On the contrary, you are interesting, and dare I say, quite beautiful." Logan felt his cheeks heat up, he hadn't meant to say anything about how he felt. "I noticed a lot of things about you, how you act when you're anxious, or when you get complimented you seem to freeze slightly, and are unable to respond. You are interesting, and I like you Virgil, I am sorry I gave you the wrong idea."
"I... You... It's fine... But like..."
"May I try something?"
"I... Sure." Virgil looked at him skeptically, slightly unsure of what he was about to do, but the worry soon melted off, when Logan stepped closer to him.
Logan didn't know what he was doing, he just hoped he was doing it right. He reached a hand up, and supped Virgil's cheek. "Is this okay?" He asked, hoping he wasn't overstepping any boundaries.
"Yeah." Virgil nodded, and smiled, leaning slightly closer to Logan.
Logan closed the gap between them, and almost melted as Virgil kissed him back. Their lips seemed to fit together perfectly, and Logan ever thought he'd experience anything like it. He loved the feeling, and he didn't want it to end, however, it soon did, and he had to fight the urge to chase Virgil's lips when it did.
"I... That was exhilarating."
"Do you ever just... not be so nerdy?"
"No?" Logan frowned.
"Just shut up, for once, and kiss me again." Virgil rolled his eyes, and pulled Logan back in for another kiss, this time, Logan completely melted under Virgil's touch.
When the two parted, they moved to Virgil's bed, and lay together, talking about things Logan had noticed, which lulled them both to sleep soon after.
