Chapter 2 The changes

Dipper pov

Ugh, my head. I had just woken up. I check my clock. It is 9:38 in the morning. I run my hand through my hair, then I feel them. Something long and fluffy on the sides of my head where my ears were supposed to be. I try to rush to the bathroom but I just fall out of the bed instead. Confused I look down.

I had the lower half of a deer were my legs should be.

So I did the rational thing. I screamed.

Mabel pov

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH"

I wake up to what sounds like an animal screaming. I look at my brother. "Bro Bro what the heck happened to you!!!" I said when I saw him. " your half deer!!!" suddenly he looks at me. "Mabel look at yourself." he said with fear in his voice. So I did. half of me was a unicorn. I had the horn and everything. "OMG YES!!!" I suddenly start laughing. "THIS IS AMAZING!!!" 

Dipper pov

As Mabel was freaking out over being a unicorn I was trying to figure out how this happened. I looked at the empty glass on my bedside table. Suddenly it clicked. "Mabel!" I said. "What." she replied. "The river we found yesterday must of done this!!!" Her eyes widened in realisation, then narrowed in fear. "But the river is the town's new water source!!!" Oh no. We are in so much trouble. "We should go downstairs and see if our Grunkles are alright." Mabel said. I agreed with her. We were at the staircase. Mabel slowly gets down it. Then I tried and tripped ending up at the bottom with my face on the floor and my deer half in the air. Suddenly a big stony monster came from the living room. I screamed at the top of my lungs for the second time that morning. Suddenly it spoke "Woah kid calm down it's me. Your Grunkle Stan. I won't hurt you." I calmed down and Mabel hugged him. He said "Come on Ford is in the gift shop with Soos and Wendy trying to figure this out." When I went in I was shocked. Soos was a Sort of golem thing. Grunkle Ford was a sphinx I think. Then I saw Wendy. She was a werewolf. Then she saw me and smiled showing her fangs. 

I bolted to the door but she stopped me and asked what's wrong. I cower behind Grunkle Stan. Mabel states "Why are you so scared bro?" I replied with terror in my voice "W-wolf." Ford, Mabel, and Wendy all look at me. Mabel and Wendy with a hint of sadness and Ford with curiosity. Wendy says "Wow I Didn't think I was That scary." Ford then says "Wendy it's not your fault. he is a deertaur who's natural predators include werewolves.  Actually they have a lot of predators. though some of the worst are werewolves, vampires, gorgons, and hunters. "really" I practicly squeak. I calmed down a little but I was still on edge. "Let me guess, the entire town is like this."  Mabel asked. "Yep" Stan says. "how'd you know?" I look at Mabel and say...

"Welp we're screwed."
