I woke up the next day and felt terrible about what I did so during free time, ima tell that dude that I was lying and made it up.
We were coming out of our cells and I saw him
"Aye man!" I shouted as he turned around
"About yesterday, they don't hang out i lied because I dont like Michael so I made it up" i said
I shook his head
"Stop lying kid, they're friends and I know cause he wouldn't fight him or shank him" he said walking off
Dammit, BJ gonna get killed because of me
"Yo BJ" i said
"Nigga I ought to kill you" he said turning around to me
"I know man I'm sorry, I was just jealous, I tried telling that dude that I was lying and made it up but he said he already knew" I said
"Nah man, squash it, you traded on me" he said
"Wait a minute, traded? If anybody traded its you, we came in here together and by the looks of it you gon leave out with Michael" I argued
"You right I am cause even if he with Coolidge, he a cool person and he would never trade on me, cause we [brothers] Best Friends" he said and walked off
"You think he yo best friend wait until he rat you out to that dude, then they whole gang gone be after you" i said pulling him back as everyone turned around
"You gonna fight go ahead" The chief said looking at us
"That ain't Michael, Mike wouldn't do that, but you would and I know cause you did, you aint nun but a snitch bitch and always will be" he said

I watched intensely to see what would happen next
"You know what" Tyrese said and pushed BJ as he was walking towards us then I went up to him and punched him in his face
Cause at that moment I didn't care about Iron telling the gang
"Don't touch my brother" I said standing over him
I looked over to the chief who smiled
"Oh, so you already know?" He asked
"What?" I asked
"Oh never mind" he said turning around and walking into his office
BJ came up and pulled me away from Tyrese
"Man Whatchu doin That dude gon kill you... and me" He said
"Man ion care about that no more" I said
"You did a lot for me so ima do a lot for you, you said we brothers right?" I asked
"Yeah" he said
"Ok then, brothers take up for each other" i said as we dapped each other up
Then we turned around and saw Iron
"Look Iron you can tell the gang all you want and have both of us killed I don't care no more man" I said
"No follow me" he said as he led us outside and we sat on a bench
"I'm gonna tell you guys a story about the leader of Coolidge, Corey, and the leader of 2-20, Percy, they were just like you two growin up, they were best friends and went everywhere together and did everything together, as kids, then when they hit their teen years things began to change, they both fell into the streets and parted ways, one began to follow in his older cousin's tracks and got in a gang... 2-20,
The other met a friend who introduced him to the gang... Coolidge, the two ex best friends met up one day and decided to hangout for the old times until a 2-20 gang member saw Percy with Corey, a fight broke out leaving Sir wounded with a bullet hole, bloodied and bruised, and ever since that day, their hatred for each other grew" he explained
"But why? It aint neither one of they fault that Corey got beat up, they didn't know they couldn't talk to each other" i said as BJ nodded
"Well now they know, and now you know why you guys can't be seen with each other, it'd be different if they didn't know his face or your face Mike, but they do, they know very well, and any one of you, or both could die" he said
"Dang, ian even know it was that serious, I mean I knew it was serious but not that serious" BJ said
"And the worst part is, they don't even know they're brothers" he added
"For real?" I asked
"So both our leaders used to be best friends but don't even know they brothers and they hate each other?" BJ asked
"Yes and yes, now you see why it's bad for you two to be hanging out" he said
"Yea But now i dont wanna be in a gang if I can't hangout with him, cause he like a brother to me too" i said
"Yeah" BJ said
" I know, it's hard" he said
"Like we even had a second chance to go home but I didn't even take my call cause ian know if i was gon be able to see him again" BJ said
"What's yo dad name?" I asked him
"Derek, Derek Wilson" he said
" I swear that name sound so familiar man" I said
"Ladies visitors are here so come in" the voice on the intercom said as we all walked in

"Dad!" I shouted going to the phone booth thingy , I saw Michael walk over to a lady and she just look so familiar
Then she looked at my dad and he looked at her, he looked shocked and nervous was he turned around back to me fast
"What was that?" I asked
"Nothing, nothing, how's it been in here?" He asked
"Mhm, it's been good I met somebody, yo Mike come here" I said as he put the phone down and came over to me
My dad looked extremely nervous
"Mike this my dad, dad this Mike he my best friend" I said
"Brother" he corrected
"And that's my moms" he said pointing at the lady

"Oh um yes I'm fine, nice to meet you" she said

As I went back over to the phone
"You ready to leave yet?" She asked me
I looked over at BJ
I wanna leave, but what if his dad is making him stay again
"Uhhhh
Then again my mom been sick and depressed she needs me
"Yea" i said
"Ok well go get your things I'll sign your paper" she said as I got up and went to my cell

"You stayed in here almost an entire week alone by yourself, without repeatedly calling trying to go home" he said
"Oh yeah, well you said I had to be a man for once, so I did" i said
"You ready to leave?" He asked
"Yea" i said

I went to my cell and got my stuff
"Yo, you leaving?" Mike asked me
"Yea" I said
"Aye maybe we can hang out with each other" he said
"No" i said
"Why?" He asked
"We need to find a way to get out of these gangs or atleast make them be cool with each other again" i said
"Oh I got it maybe, maybe we can use that story  that Iron told us" he suggested
"Who that" I asked
"That crazy man that was talkin to us" he said
"Oh yea well that's a good idea" I said
"Yo you got a phone?" He asked
"Yea" I said
"Here" he said writing on a piece of paper and handing it to me
"It's so you can call and we can plan what we gon say and stuff" he said
"I gotchu" I said as we both walked back into the main lobby where our parents stood
"Ard peace out bro" I said dapping him up
"Peace B" he said as we both walked separate ways.
