I flip another page of the book I've been reading since morning.
"Dinners ready" I hear my dad yell
Sighing, I decided to finish this chapter before heading downstairs.
When I get to the kitchen, I see dad and Anna sitting on the table eating pasta.
"What took you so long?" Dad asked.
"I didn't want to leave the book in between a chapter"
Anna shakes her head and smiles.
"So are you girls ready for tomorrow? It's your first day of school"
I wasn't ready.
I missed home and wanted to go back. I miss my friends.. well friend.Veronica and I had been best friends for as long as I can remember. I've always been the shy one and she the popular one. Yes I admit she changed a lot but I like to think that deep down she's still the person who defended me in 4th grade.
And on top of that a guy I liked in 5th grade had also shifted to this town years ago and their is a probability that he might to to the school I'm gonna go to and it's not good. I mean what's worse than facing your 5th grade crush and embarrassing yourself? He probably doesn't even remember me. Or worse what if he does?
While I was freaking out about tomorrow, my sister here was very excited to make 'new friends'.
"It's my first year in middle school I'm gonna wear my pink skirt and it's gonna look so good, I can't wait to make new friends" Anna said.
"Wish I could say the same" I rolled my eyes.
"Don't worry it won't be that bad" dad tired to make this situation a little less scary but it didn't work, I appreciate the effort tho.
I just smile. Was I afraid? Yes I was terrified. But all I wanted to do right know was eat and go back to my book.
