Julia's POV

As we roll up to the house, I could feel my heart drop with anxiety. I knew Priscilla didn't really know about me or why I was coming over.

Elvis' POV

I show Julia into the house, everyone was asleep because I wasn't home to keep them up. I'm hoping Priscilla was asleep too, because I know I'm in for an ear full from her. We quietly walk up the stairs to the guest room.

Dropping Julia's bags on the ground I say "Alright the bathroom is over there. Are you okay? I'm gonna go check on Priscilla." Taking a big deep breath Julia says "Uhh not really, but I'll be fine." Sitting across the room from her I raise my eyebrow and say "Alright I have time."

She starts crying, I look down at her feeling bad for her. Now sitting on the ground next to her while she talks about everything. "I-I just don't want to go back to that apartment again. We have so many memories attached to it he'd come over almost every night." She says.

I didn't know what to say so I just listen and nod. After an hour I see she's getting tired. "Hun you need to go to bed you're exhausting yourself." I say in a caring voice. Helping her off the ground she hugs me. "Thank you for everything I really appreciate it." She says. I make my way towards to door saying. "Goodnight" Julia tries her best to smile back at me.

I go into my room, Priscilla was awake sitting on the bed. She looked angry and confused "So who's the girl?" She says. Trying to think about what to say without her being pissed I say "She's a friend, her names Julia her and her boyfriend just broke up she needs a place to stay for a little bit."

"Julia? The girl from the letter? Elvis, you got to be kidding me." She says with anger in her voice. "Listen, yes I wrote her back we're friends and that's all." I say being stern. "Well, I don't feel comfortable having her in the house. She's probably mooching off of you." She says in a snarky tone. "It's my goddamn house." I say yelling.

Priscilla takes a deep breath and says "Do you even want me here anymore. You've been distant ever since we left Graceland. I don't know if I can keep waiting around for you to marry me either." I understood why she'd say that I wouldn't wanna wait around for someone.

I stood up starting to nervously pace "Well if something was to happen to us what would you do?" I say. "Honestly I don't know I went straight from my parent's house to yours. I'd probably try to be an actress and model." "Well, I can help you with that." I say fast.
"Elvis, I want to do something for myself for once." She says. Speechless I walk out of the room.

Julia's POV

I could hear Elvis and Priscilla fighting down the hall. I knew it had something to do with me. Laying in bed, in the dark I hear Elvis walk up to my door, quietly knocking. Sitting up I say "Come in." He walks in wearing the same white button-up and black slacks as before.

"I heard y'all fighting, wanna talk? Is it my fault? I don't wanna come between your relationship." I say with concern in my voice. Sitting down he says "No no it's not your fault we've just been going thru it lately." It was now nearly 3 am but I could care less, but I couldn't sleep anyway.

"How so? If you don't mind me asking of course." I say with a southern twang. "Its just she wants to get married but that's not me. I'm not the marriage type. I don't blame her she's been waiting for years." He says.

"I don't wanna lose her but if we don't get married soon I'm afraid I will." He says. "I kinda understand too. How long have y'all been together?" I say. "You don't know? I feel like everyone knows 'cause that's all the newspapers like to talk about. We've been seeing each other for almost 10 years." He says chuckling a little bit.

"I wasn't a fan sorry." I say laughing. "So what're you gonna do?" I ask. "Marry her I guess." He says sounding unsure. "To be honest, I don't think you should marry her if you don't want to. Maybe you are the marriage type but you haven't met the right girl yet." I say looking at him while he stares at his hands.

Looking back at me he says "Know what, you're right. I just don't know how to break it off with her." "Sleep on it, it's a big thing to do without much thought." I say. "I think I'll do that. Can I sleep on the sofa in here? I wanna give her space." He asks. "Go ahead its your house." I say laughing a little bit.

As he sat on the sofa beginning to doze off as I lay back down. I can't believe the most famous man in the world came to me for advice. His presence in the room was comforting in the way Chad's presence once was. Finally, I drifted off to sleep as I listened to his snoring.

Stretching out I wake up, I feel someone staring at me. Looking over I see Priscilla in the doorway staring at Elvis and me. She was gorgeous probably an inch or two taller than me but still quite petite. Sitting up I say "Hi I'm Julia." Looking angry Priscilla says "Elvis told me about you, I'm sure you know who I am." I see Elvis shifting as he wakes up because she was speaking loudly.

"What time is it?" Elvis says in a deep voice with his eyes still closed. "Its 10 am." Priscilla says with an edge. "Elvis I'm going to brunch with a friend. We need to have a talk when I get back." She says leaving. Rolling over on the couch Elvis starts to stare at the ceiling. I could tell he was thinking real hard about what he was gonna do about Priscilla.
