The morning after the party, my parents and I were eating breakfast, and I could see clearly that my mom was experiencing a bad hangover. That was not the worst part of my morning. The worst part was my parent’s announcement.

“Oh, Addy, darling. We forgot to tell you that you’re changing schools.” My dad suddenly said.

I groaned. They like to decide on something big for me before telling me about it. They also like to do the telling part in the last minute so I can’t do anything.

“Why? The school started 2 weeks ago, don’t you think that I will be really late?” I asked.

“Don’t worry about being late, we know you’re an excellent student. You’re probably advanced than them.” My dad assured. “And that’s one of the reasons why we like you to move. It just seems like everything is so easy, no competition. You’re young, you should be molded as early as now about the competition that you’re going to be experiencing in life.”

Here we go again with the competition lecture. It’s not my fault that almost everyone in my current school is kind of dumb. As much as I want to deny it, I love math, every piece of math. That’s why it’s already decided that I would, most probably take over my dad’s company. Maybe the love for math is in our blood.

“You can go say goodbye to your friends. You know, hang around with them.’ My dad said.

I laughed. “That joke was hilarious, dad. You know I don’t have friends.” I replied.

Maybe I do have people I usually talk to at school, but I don’t really consider them as friends. A typical 16-year-old female will most probably have a lot of friends, but not me. I consider the people at my school not that intelligent, and I do not have a plan on having unintelligent friends. Having friends like that would just embarrass me.

“So, would you like to shop with your mom today?” my dad suddenly offered.

I looked at my mom, and her face looked so stressed out, and she wasn’t talking at all.

“I don’t think mom is on the mood. Can I just go by myself? I’m done studying, anyway.” I asked.

“Sure, honey. Do whatever you want.” My dad said while smiling.

I’m not really fond of shopping, I just wanted to stroll around the streets of shopping avenue, or even go to the park to smell fresh air.

I was too lazy to wear my contacts, so I just wore my glasses. Put on a white v-neck, and a dark brown leather jacket, black skinny jeans, and sneakers. Put on a mahogany red beanie, and big black scarf, then I was off.

Since I was a Cole, I needed a chauffeur, but my guards will just stay inside the car, and they will wait for me there.

I hopped out of the car, and told my guard, Loren to wait for me for 2-3 hours. It was a bit colder outside than what I expected, but I didn’t really care. So I started walking around the fashion district, just breathing in polluted air. It was nice to be outside, once in a while.

While I was walking around, while window-shopping, someone bumped me really hard on purpose, that I fell down. I murmured I few curse words while standing up and brushing myself. To my horror, when I looked up, it was the pervert, grinning like a psycho at me. What is he doing here? Is he stalking me? I calmed myself, and decided just to walk away, but before I could even take a step, he grabbed my hand.

“Hey.” He said.

“Let me go, you pervert.” I said angrily while pulling my hand, but he was strong.

He pretended to look hurt. “Ooh. That’s a bit harsh.” He said. “Why didn’t you call me?”

I laughed like it was the funniest joke I’ve ever heard. “You expected me to call after you pull that perverted act?  What do you think of me, some rich bimbo?”

I still tried pulling my hand out of his grip, but it felt like I was not making any progress.

“You look good with glasses.” He suddenly said. “My name’s River, by the way.”

I scoffed. Does he think that I’m interested in him? He is really a sick pervert.

“Let me go, asshole.” I replied and started pushing him away. I was so close to kicking him, until he grabbed my waist and pulled me to him, and he whispered, “You don’t want to make a scene, don’t you, Addison Cole?”

It was so sudden, but he started dragging me to an almost empty coffee shop. He was right; I was not the kind of girl who would shout on the streets. I still want my freedom, and if my parents knew about this, I won’t have days to just stroll by myself.

We sat at an empty booth. “What do you want?” I asked.

He didn’t answer me, instead he asked for a cup of coffee. When the coffee came, he turned to me and said, “Nothing, I just wanted to be friends.”

I rolled my eyes. “That’s kind of impossible, don’t you think? I’m a Cole, and you’re a Schuster, remember?” I answered.

He sipped his coffee. “Oh yeah. That was why your guards were chasing me yesterday.” He said.

I could be buying some stuff right now, but instead, I’m wasting my time with an enemy.

“Well then, I’ll ask for another thing, if being friends is impossible.”

“Shoot, then leave me alone after.” I replied lazily.

He smiled devilishly, and said, “Your body. I want your body.”

I could just feel myself suddenly turning pale. He really is a psycho pervert. I stood up and got ready to leave, but he caught my hand. “Remember, if I don’t get it, I won’t leave you alone.” Then he let go.
