Your POV
You and Kevin begin to head back to Kevin's place. You sniffled a little still upset of what Elizabeth did. 'I thought I was the favourite of the family...' You thought quietly to yourself then sighed shaking your head a little.
Kevin looked over at you and asked "What's wrong Y/N?" You looked at him and smiled softly "Yeah, I'm fine.." you whispered softly "Why wouldn't I be..?"
"Because of my mom" He said looking down as you both reached his door step "Maybe if I talk to her about—" you cut him off "Don't worry about it, I'll be gone by tonight like she wants"
Kevin looked worriedly at you "Where are you going to go?" He asked sadly "I'll ask one of the neighborhood kids to stay with them" You smiled "She said I had to be out of your house by tonight, not out of the neighborhood"
You laughed a little. Kevin couldn't help but smile "Alright.." he opened the door and allowed you to walk in first. Ask you walked in he followed in after you shutting the door "Mom, we're back"
"Is she still with you?" Elizabeth asked walking into the living room "Oh she is...uhm you do you know you—" You interrupted her "Yeah I do, but there is one thing I want to know"
"What is it?" His mother asked tilting her head a little "Even after Jace helping you and Kevin after your ex husband left you a couple of years back and giving you money we didn't even have, why won't you help me out in a time of need? Do you really think that's fair for us to help you but not to help in return?" You smirked
"Uhm..." Elizabeth cleared her throat and pulled at her dress a little "Well...you see um..." You knew you caught her in a pickle, your smirk grew bigger "Is it because you don't want to do nice things for your niece and want her to go back to a place where she nearly went to foster care multiple time?"
"I-I don't want that..." Elizabeth said looking away "Then what's going to happen Aunty Lizzy?" You said walking around her "Fine! You can stay! Just....don't tell your mother I tried to kick you out..."
You giggled softly "Oh don't worry, I won't~!" You smiled happily and stood back next to Kevin.
