CHAPTER-7

In Mumbai, in morning Manik got up and did his regular chores as he finished getting ready a butler came came to inform him that Raj is waiting for him in the living room. Manik nodded and said that he is coming , after some time he reached the living room.

He saw Nyonika already sitting there and Raj had a serious look on his face and Raj rarely get very serious so he knew it was something very important . He went inside and wished them morning . Raj told him to sit on one of the couch after he settled on the couch Raj said something that shocked him to the core .

Raj-" Manik I have chosen a girl for you . She is very kind , beautiful and talented . She is a doctor and I think that she is the one for you. I have already discussed this with Nyonika and she have no problem with it and we are going to meet her and her family day after tomorrow. "

Manik was completely speechless he did not know what to say. Raj stood up and Nyonika also stood up with him .

Raj -" See you tomorrow son. "

Manik managed to nod at him . Nyonika also went with Raj till outside to see him off , after Raj left Nyonika came back inside and saw Manik still sitting in the same position . She went and sat beside him as his thoughts raced to why Nyonika agreed to this .

Manik - " Why ? " He finally managed to say , he looked in her eyes and again said , " Why did you agreed to this ? You know that I love her right then....."

Nyonika kept her hand on his shoulder and from one hand she cupped his cheek .

Nyonika-" I know Aarav and I also want you to know that I won't let anything go wrong you have to trust me on this. Just meet her once okay. "

Manik -" Pakka promise. " He said like a baby .

Nyonika- " Promise. "

Manik hugged her they sat there for a while.

Nyonika -"Come on , get up you have to eat your breakfast."

Manik-" I am not feeling like eating anything ."

Nyonika-" Okay fine at least drink juice and I am not taking no for an answer."

Manik-" Fine"

He got up and Nyonika too got up and started moving towards the kitchen Manik followed her and sat on the kitchen slab as she poured the orange juice in a glass and gave him that. He drank slowly while throwing lots of tantrums like saying he don't want to have it or if it was important to drink the juice but Nyonika not for once got annoyed as she happily bore all his tantrums.

He went to office after sometime he had some important paperwork and meetings and at night after reaching home he ate his dinner with Nyonika and then went to his room to sleep. Next day Raj came back in morning and told Nyonika and Manik that they have to go and meet that girl the next day so they have to keep their schedule clear. Manik still did not wanted to meet anyone but he trusted Nyonika on this so he didn't gave that much of a reaction this time he just nodded his head . He was busy all day in his work and when he came home at night he simply went to his room and slept without even taking his dinner . Nyonika came to his room as she wanted him to have his dinner but after looking at his face she knew he was very tired she adjusted the duvet on him then she switched off all the lights and switched on the night lamp as she knew he do not like keeping all the lights off after closing the door she left from there . She too did not ate dinner and kept it in the fridge and went to her room to sleep.

Nandini was standing there smiling at Manik , Manik too smiled seeing her smiling . Manik started moving towards her but he felt that the distance was getting any less and suddenly she disappeared from his sight . He frantically looked around but there was no sign of her ."Nandini " he shouted as he woke up , he was sweating very badly , his face was covered with tears . No one would believe that the Manik Malhotra is crying that too for a girl only if they knew that the very girl is his life. He was looking very vulnerable he did missed her but he never had a nightmare and after seeing this he needed nothing but just his Nandini , his patience was getting thin. After sometime he somehow composed himself and saw the time it was 8 a.m. He thought to get ready , he woke up early but somehow he got late today. He went to the dining room after getting ready he saw Nyonika there , he went and hugged her , he wished her morning . He sat on the chair as she served him breakfast , she started moving out of the room .
