CHAPTER- 15

EPILOGUE...~

Manik-" Here you go champ.. You're ready now.. Go & play while I check whether your mumma dearest is ready or not.. Okay.."

Vihan - " Okayy Papa.. " , he immediately went from there after pecking Manik's cheek..

Manik closed the door behind him as he entered their.. He saw Nandini standing infront of the mirror wearing her accessories. Her hair perfectly pinned in a bun.

His eyes travelled down & stopped on the mark just below her left shoulder. His mind travelled back to the past ..  five years back.. to the day that horrible incident took place . ..

Manik managed to collect all the evidences against Arjun & as the police was arresting him , Arjun managed to take the gun out from the belt of one of the officers present there...

Manik who was talking to the inspector didn't noticed noticed his this move..

All Manik remembered was turning around at the sound of a bullet firing & catching a stumbling Nandini into his arms who reached Arjun's apartment after asking Manik's P.A. about his whereabouts ....

His world stopped that instant... he couldn't comprehend what to do.. he doesn't even remember how they reached the hospital..

He didn't know if it was fate or God's grace that the bullet didn't hit anything vital ..

He never wants to go through anything like that again, he don't know if he would ever be able to survive something like that ever again..

He blinked back the tears that came to his eyes remembering that dreadful day.. He walked towards Nandini & wrapped his arms around her waist..

Manik-" Are you ready.?."

Nandini- " Yeah I'm,  just the earrings left..." , she answered keeping her hands on his which were around her waist...

He turned her around so that she was facing him & took the earrings which were kept on the table ....

Manik- " let me .. "

As he made her wear the earrings , she just stood there admiring him with a smile.. as he finished,  his hand went behind to unpin her bun expertly, which made her beautiful , shiny black hair cascade down her back till her waist....

Manik - " Chalein..." , he asked her to which she nodded her head in a yes..

As they descended down the stairs they saw Chachi & Chachi already present there along with Raj & Nyonika.. while Vihan was playing with Aman, Rishab & Soha .. Aman who is Manik's manager & Soha Nandini's friend got married about a year ago....

They just smiled at each other before they went to join their little family in their talks & games....

The evening was a lively one.. ... filled with utter joy just like the many others they have had together ...

Manik & Nandini were laying on their bed .... Vihan who was with his grandparents, was already asleep...

Nandini - " It was such a fun filled evening right...."

Manik -" Every time we've this kind of get together everyone enjoy so much.. It's actually good for Vihan to spend more time with family..."

Nandini who knew what Manik was talking about tightened her hold on him..

Nandini -" Thank you for talking to Chacha & Chachi ... I don't think I would have been able to tell them everything...."

Manik- " Nandini,  I don't say I love you just for the sake of it... I actually mean it .. your happiness is my happiness..."

Nandini-" I know Manik... & I love you too... I'm glad that you were always there for me  whenever I needed it..."

Manik--" I'll always be there for you no matter what...!"

It's done .. Thank you guys for being here & tolerating everything I threw at you all.. it seems abrupt but when I started this story I never thought of it ever reaching this much views...

I didn't wrote the promo part as I felt she has gone through many things already & deserves happiness...
