richie sighed, pushing his bangs out of his face. it had been six months since eddie was gone, and he was ready to go. there really was no point in living if he didn't have eddie with him.

richie sniffled, tears coming to his eyes. thinking about the day eddie told him that he was going to leave never failed to make him cry. the two had never officially broken up, which just made richie even more sad. he was in love with someone that he was sure he would never seen again.

richie still remembered eddie's beautiful, honey brown eyes, the ones he could stare into for hours without getting bored. he still remembered eddie's smooth, curly, chocolate locks, the ones he would twist around his finger and braid on rainy days. he remembered eddie's soft, rose lips, the ones that he would think about for days, the ones he could kiss without taking any breaths.

he remembered every twist and turn on eddie's body, along with everything about him. his favourite colour, his favourite movie, song, book, and band.

richie remembered their first date, and their second, and their third, and so on. he remembered each and every one of their anniversaries, and everything they did on each one.

soon enough, with all of the memories swirling around in his brain, richie's tears started to stream down his face with the force of a thousand rivers. he chucked his glasses onto the floor beside him and started to cry some more. he cried until he couldnt any longer.

richie decided he wanted to spend his last moments of light on the rock.

he slid a hand knife that belonged to his father into his pocket, make sure he had the bracelet that eddie had made him on his wrist, put on his glasses and left.

richie presumed it was late at night, seeing as the stars were out and the sky was dark. he hopped onto his bike and drove off, cherishing the way the gravel crunched underneath his tires for what he thought was going to be the last time.

after a silent ride, richie reached the quarry, he bid his bike goodbye and hiked down to the rock. he sat on the edge of it; where he had sat when he had asked eddie to be his.

richie took off his glasses once more and set them down on the rock. he stayed there for a few seconds. i'm sorry, eddie. i love you.

he stood up and walked to the edge of the cliff, pulling the knife out from his pocket. he heard a rustling coming from the woods behind him, but he couldnt care less. i'm going to die anyway, whats the point?

just as richie brought the knife to his throat, a voice screaming "RICHIE!" made him drop it in surprise.

he knew that voice.

richie spun around, his voice stuck in his throat as he saw eddie standing before him, holding his glasses in front of the rock.

not thinking about anything besides that his eddie was back, richie practically threw himself onto eddie, knocking the boy onto the grass and shoving their lips together.

"i... missed... youso... much..." he breathed in-between kissed, slipping his hands into eddie's hair. he felt eddie kiss back.

"missedyoutoo."

after their kissing session, richie and eddie fell asleep together in the grass underneath the stars, holding each other close.
