"Anastasia.. Anaaaa.. ANA!" May had called, she pushed her glasses back up off the bridge of her nose and looked at Ana. She had been daydreaming yet again during this session of "Mana study/ homework time," as May called it.

Lately Anastasia had (not just in Mana study/ homework time) been drifting in and out of the real world. And when she snapped out of it, anyone was lucky if she lasts 10 minutes without letting her mind focus else where yet again.

May had known why. It was because of Chase. Chase Grey to be exact, and yes May did have a crush on him or at least did as in past tense did, but May trusts her and knows Anastasia wouldn't talk to him to spite her so she lets it flow. Besides, she likes another boy, his name is Joey. A cutie patootie Joey is. (So says May.)

Perhaps it had always been Chase. To Ana, she had longed for someone to be next to her. Mentally and physically, and for her age the amount of heart ache she had gone through would last her until she was in the middle of junior year in college, and she wasn't even in high school yet. Which to many sounds absolutely crazy that Ana and Chase were "in love." Or that a small 8th grader could experience such a thing, but the thing is, is that they really were in love.

They were. Everyone around them knew it and had seen it. It wasn't something people could gather in your face evidence for because there wasn't anything to support it. They might be in love for a very long time, even if things don't make it to the reception.

Love is a very powerful feeling. It does not pick and choose, who or how or in this case how old.   Plenty of people fall in love, and either of them could've ended up with someone else, but right now that didn't happen. They're full of lust and then attraction and then attachment.

Both Chase and Anastasia feel it, even though they don't know what to do with it. They've gathered their baskets and are now trying to keep their feelings and their entire heart in it. There's no way they could let it drop, there's absolutely no way. Right?

It's like lights and fireworks and everything in between with them, every time they look at each other, every time they brush past each other, every time they see that the other has texted, but there's no way they could let their feelings spill out of the basket. Right?
