Harry’s P.O.V (Point Of View)
Julie and I took my van and drove around some streets looking for Niall. He was nowhere. I guess he really meant it when he said for us to not look for him. I felt my eyes watering as I was thinking of Niall not being in the band. Our friendship doesn’t work that way. If he’s going to be my friend, then he has to be in the band. Our friendship was MADE because of this band. He has to stay in it. I need him. I can’t let our friendship go like it meant nothing to me, it obviously did. Niall can’t leave my life. Not like this. Not now. Not ever. I sighed when I finally realized that we weren’t going to find him. A raindrop fell from the sky and streamed down my window, just like how a tear from my eye, streamed down my face. Julie wiped away my tear, without me realizing it at first. “Sorry…” I said. “For what? Crying? Harry, don’t apologize for that.” She responded. I didn’t wanna cry. If I cry, Julie will think I’m a wimp. Guys don’t cry! We’re supposed to act like the men we are, even though sometimes it’s hard to act tough. Sometimes, I just want to hide somewhere, where no one will find me. A place that isn’t known to land. But I’m always reminded to stay strong and fight my fears. I’m a human being. Sometimes I need to feel sad and let out my emotions. That’s how life works. We only learn from our mistakes and if I don’t have any, then I’ll learn nothing. I turned left at the corner of the street. It started to pour. Thunder started and lightning joined in too. “We should head back.” I said. “Yeah, it’s getting pretty nasty out here.” Julie replied. I really didn’t want to stop looking for Niall, but let’s be honest… He probably is inside a house somewhere, while we’re looking for him on the streets in the rain. Niall wouldn’t go out in this weather. I drove to the end of the street, making a right turn, heading back to the hotel, when I noticed someone running on the sidewalk with a hoodie over there head. It was a boy. I could tell by what he was wearing. But the clothes seemed familiar… That grey hoodie… Those Nike kicks… That red polo shirt sticking out from underneath his sweater… It’s Niall! I think… “Julie! Is that Niall running over there?!” “Where?” “On the sidewalk, over there!” I said, pointing on the right side of the sidewalk. “Well he dresses like Niall, but we don’t know for sure.” She said. True. I pulled up the car on the edge of the sidewalk, right beside where the boy was. The guy turned his head, noticing our car pulling up beside him. As soon as I could see his face clearly, I noticed that… That it wasn’t Niall. Just a look alike. “Great. It’s not him.” I said, frowning. “It’s okay, we’ll find him.” She said. Before we had tried ringing him, but he didn’t answer. I thought I should try again. I dialed his number. It rang twice and then went straight to voicemail. “Hey, you’ve reached Niall Horan. I’m so sorry I couldn’t take your call. I will definitely call you back, when I get the chance. Have a great day! And leave a message if you want, I’ll listen to it for sure. Bye!” was all I heard. Then the robot lady or whatever came on the phone and said, “At the tone, please record your message. When you are finished recording, you may hang up, or press pound for more options.” *Beeep* “Hey Niall. It’s Harry… Please call me back! Love you man. Bye.” I said in the message. “No answer…” I said to Julie. “Really?” She said sarcastically. I laughed. After I left the message, I made a U turn and decided to go home the shorter way. I turned left on ‘Mortimer Ave’ and drove all the way down the street. I made another left, turning onto ‘Linsmore Crescent’. It continued pouring. The thunder got louder and the lightning got brighter. It was a scary night… “Are we almost home?” Julie asked. “I don’t feel safe driving in this weather.” She added. I linked my hand to the hand that lay on her lap. “Don’t worry. You’re safe with me.” I replied. She smiled, but still had that ‘frightened’ look upon her face. I looked at her and smiled, trying to let her know that everything was going to be fine. It was just a little storm. I turned my head back to facing the road. I saw someone walking across the street. I couldn’t tell what it was, since it was so dark out. I tried to stop, so it could pass by, but my breaks wouldn’t work!
