Chapter 6 ~Juli~

Jack hated having to yell at the two. He was soft at this moment but knew Daniel and Zach had brought their problems on by themselves.

Daniel on the other hand had sympathy for the boy. Although he heard about what happened with him and Gabbie, he knew that there was a likely chance that Gabbie had nothing to do with Jack 'cheating'. The blue eyed boy loved him. And nothing could get in the way of that. Not even an old ex. But if the barrier between the two boys became bigger, nothing could stop it.

After a while of Jack being alone, Daniel assumed Jack had calmed himself down by that time. It wasn't like he was going to leave Jack to break down alone.

The brunette walked into the bedroom of the other boy to find him curled into a ball on his bed. He wanted to rush to him but knew that'd seem off in the state the other was in.

Daniel hesitantly went towards Jack, making sure he was in the condition of being able to talk to him.

"Jack. You okay?" Daniel knew that was probably a dumb question to ask as he sat next to the shorter one. Jack lifted his head to reveal his bloodshot eyes Daniel expected.

"What do you think Daniel?" There was an awkward Selene between the two as the looked anywhere else besides each other's eyes.

"I'm sorry." Daniel began. " I shouldn't have lashed out on you like that the other day." Jack said nothing in response for a while and it was back to silence.

"We can't go on like this." Jack croaked out.

"Like what?"

"Fighting. All of it. It can't go on."

"We can work something out." The older one tried convincing.

"Daniel. You said it yourself. We can't go on with both of us if we're lashing out on each other."

"Now those weren't my words."

"But it was along the lines of it." Jack said, his tone still calm but slightly raised. "Maybe it's just for the best."

Daniel not Jack wanted to argue anymore. So Daniel got up from his place and left the room, leaving the younger one to go back to his crying.

Little did they know, Zachary heard it all.
