I love you, Probie.

Tim heard the gunshot echo as the bullet exited the chamber, heard the thud of a body hitting the ground. His gun was already raised, and before he had fully processed what had happened, he had emptied a round of bullets into the chest of the shooter. He heard a strangled moan from behind him and turned to see-

"TONY!!!" He screamed, running over to where his colleague, his best friend, his husband, was lying, crumpled in a heap. Tim fell to his knees. There was so much blood. He searched frantically for the source, letting out a sob when he found the bullet wound in Tony's chest. He pushed against it, trying to stop the flow of blood.

"T-Tim," Tony murmured weakly, breath slow and uneven. He raised a hand to gently stroke Tim's cheek, wiping the tears and leaving trails of dirt across his face.

"It's ok, Tony, I'm here, you'll be ok." Tim's voice shook as he spoke, hot tears spilling from his eyes. "Back-up are on their way, just stay strong for me baby."

Tony shook his head slightly, tears rolling down his own face. His lip trembled as he spoke, "I'm s-sorry, Ti..." He took a deep breath. "Tim." His lungs were failing, and it was a huge effort to drag enough air in each time. "It-it's ok."

Tim shook his head. "No," he said softly. "You're going to be ok, Tony. Please, I love you so much and I know you can do it," He bent down and rested his forehead gently against Tony's. "I promise you."

Tony smiled, then struggled to speak. "You know what m-movie this rem-minds me of?"

Despite the circumstances, Tim laughed through his tears. It was so like Tony to joke, right until the end. "What movie does it remind you of?" He could sense his lover slipping away and took Tony's trembling hand in his own.

"It doesn't." He coughed, gasping for air. Once he could speak again, he said, "You kn-now why? Because n-no love co-ould be as s-strong as ours. I l-love you, Probie."

Tim let out a choked cry as Tony's eyes glazed over and he slipped away.

"I love you too, Tony."
