The door slams and the curtains wave. School had finished and Amber was still a loser. She was a loser at home and she was a loser at school, a loser for life. Throwing her bag half way across the room and screaming until the deathly hallows come out to play. Amber stormed up the stairs with frustration smeared across her face. Disappointment. Fear. Love. The three things that she hated the most because every single either happens to her too much or some of them don't happen at all.

The feeling of disappointment was an occasional occurrence to Amber. Disappointment ran through her veins. Her parents didn't care about her, her parents don't give a second thought about Amber as long as they're doing what they want nothing ever matters. Amber has literally lived on her own since she was five, she had to find things to do and didn't have loving, warm parents to rely on, she had to rely on herself.

The night came closer and the black canvas painted over the blue blanket. The shimmering fireballs hung up in the air ready to burn and sizzle. The feeling of alive and freedom came swimming back to Amber again. The door said goodbye and out she went in the pitch black where no one could see her. Walking, running, sprinting was all Amber did, jumping and leaping over the holes and the alleyways she travelled the same way every time to the colossal stone. Her life depended on finding the toenail plastered in the sky and sitting on the slippery stone and chasing the night away.

The darkness dived in further and started to run along with her, catching up with her speed and agility. The sweet aroma filled the nigh blue air and rose upon her nose. The leaves scurried from a distance and the sense of magic and warmth was still there. A sense of relief filled her face and she climbed onto the stone and watched the fireballs melt away into the forbidden galaxies. "I thought I might find you here." a low, deep, kind voice appeared. It made Amber jump out of her skin and she nearly fell off the stone onto the mud but with one swoop Jack caught her in a manly manner. "I'm always knocking you off your feet." he laughed thinking he was funny but he really wasn't.

Amber hurriedly stood up looking at him with disgust. "Thank you" she said with annoyance playing in her voice.

"What's wrong? Did I do something wrong?" he asked acting confused.

"No, you wouldn't understand it." Amber said getting shy because she didn't want to say her true feelings.

"Just tell me. If it's about Naomi, then don't worry about her."

"Of course it's about her, everything is about her. Don't you understand? That witch has ruined my life since time has began. I don't have to answer to you anyway, you've known me for two seconds and now you're acting as if I'm your property and what are you even doing here anyway this is where I come not where you can bring your popular friends. I'm not like you. I don't think that the world revolves around me, everything you do is for show and do you even like Naomi or is it just another one of your plans to get everyone to like you. I mean the captaincy, the girl, the jacket, the so called friends of yours don't you get bored of it all. I'm not someone you can rescue and use as a new art project I'm an actually person. So you don't know me and I don't know you, let's keep that way."

"But..." Jack spluttered out. Amber stormed out without a care in the world, she was glad that she got all of that off her chest now she can go back to be a lurking shadow in the background.
