COLOSSAL CONTENTION

chapter 2 -important meeting.!.!.!

As I walked inside the big hall, chilling silence engulfed me. Everyone had their eyes trained on me looking annoyed and irritated. presently I'm the deer in the headlights.Damn.

"Any reasons as to why you are so late, Arkwo?" Alyssa's voice cut sharp through the air as she glared at me from the stage. She was the head commander after the Arkwo's main counsil and she hated people misbehaving.

she continued to glare at me as I gulped and made a beeline through the crowd towards the only empty seat. And waited for her to continue.

"So.... as you all know that it's been five years since we got any news from our arc enemies the wolquas. Our hopes of living in peace once more perked up, but only till this morning." she took a deep breath so as to let us know something big was comming up.

"blah.....................blah............wolqua's never had or will agree to make a peace treaty. they are the people of voilence"..............blah............blah..................blah!  anxiety here  was killing me and she wont get to the point! you see, why I hate meetings. I've been sitting here since 20 minutes now and don't even know the main reason of this meeting.

".......We have got an alert meesage from them this morning saying 'THIS TIME WE WILL WIPE YOU OUT ALL. NOT ONE ALIVE!'" oooooooh! this is creepy.Another war. Last time when there was an attack it was horrible even after we defended it and only 25% of the main attack effected us. And the time we retorted back, it hit them worse and they they had to change their location.

remembering that we didn't know their location yet. how were we going to defence or retort back? I raised my hand indiating that I had a doubt but Alyssa refused to glance in my direction even once as she continued.

 "we need each and every arkwo to try and defend our fellow friends. we have to show the wolquas that we are strong enough for them. I fear that this time our defence force is not that strong but our hope and faith in them will make us succeed. But we need to expand our defence force. A few other Arkwos will be choose  from the inetermediaries."

  People of my age a little below and a little above  were the intermediaries meaning that the middle one. Oh! have I mentioned that we stop aging after 24. so we have 3 stages 'the juviniles' from age 1-12 'the intermediareis' from age 13-19 and 'the defence force/ grown ups'

It's bad that we don't have a choice as what to do when we grow up, we are trained to join the defence force scine we were13 years old, sooo yeah nobody complains, plus nobody sneeks a human story book here like me and reads them to know how humans choose their own profession.

I was raising my hand for past seven minutes and Alyssa was completely blocking out my curiousness so I raised my second hand too. By doing this I had averted the attention of people surrounding me, creating a disturbance.  And finally Alyssa stopped talking.

"what is your so-important doubt that you thought it was ok to stop the meeting mid way, Arkwo?" telling that she was frustrated would be a total understatement.

You know sometimes it happens that- your asked a question and you tend to forget the answer to it- yup that's what happened to me. I totally forgot what I was going to ask. How could I not? I mean I was busy trying to get Alyssa's attention for like 10 minutes. so I forgot what was my doubt .

Alyssa raised her eyebrow so high that even I could see from this distance. Guess she's still waiting for my doubt. she started to tap her shoe on the ground. jeez, this lady has so damn much patience right?

Before I could stop the words "strawberry icecream is pink in colour." rolled out of my mouth. and I hypothetically face palmed my self. There were a few gasps and a lot of wide, well, extra wide eyes in my direction. what could be worse than this.

you remember the time when I thought.'what could be worse than this.' well, you should remember because  you are practically reading my thoughts. Anyways never think that thought because if you do something more worse will happen. Mark my words or else you'll regret it later.

I was called near the  stage and now was being glared at by Alyssa. "How dare you disturb the meeting just like that. you think it was fun? huh? YOU LITTLE PRICK!" she screamed at me while motionong katherine to come over.  "are you her mentor?" katherine noded "THIS IS HOW YOU TRAIN HER! DISTURB A  VERY IMPORTANT MEETING LIKE THAT! AND LOOK AT HER SHE HAS THE GUTS TO LOOK AT MY FACE AFTR WHAT SHE DID."  she has no right to talk to kathe like that. it was my mistake so she has to scold me not her.

"you are of no use katherine. 3 girls just 3 GIRLS you coudn't control!" anger was boing in me as alyssa continued to scream shit at kathe. she turned her glare toward me and I did something bad out of anger. I cupped my hands together in a holding position in front of her.when she and kathe gave me questioned look. I explained smiling sweetly  at Alyssa.

"I was planning on catching your eyes when they fall off your sockets." I smiled as I watched Alyssa's face get red and kathe's eyes wide from horror.

"Akrwo 683 and 479 put her into the valt for 4 days" what! she can't do that! she can't be that cruel.

"oh! c'mon. you can't do that!"

"make that 6 days"

two well built men came into veiw and horror filled me. what were going to do to me. wierd images crossed my mind. like whips, handcuffs, pain. nooooooooooo! I can't go there. Noooooooooooo!

They came near and held my arms dragging me away. But who knew I was a stubborn person. I used all my strength to stand on the ground and not move a bit.

Both of them gave me a smug look like they were brothers.awww. twins.how cute.

Did I say cute? well scratch that. they both caught my arm more tightly and lifted me off the ground and continued on their way to hell.the dungeon.
