Jungkook slowly breaks the news to Taehyung. Taehyung knows something is up as soon as Jungkook walks in his house with tie loosened, hair disheveled even though Jungkook likes to look neat when he's out, he notices how glassy jungkook's eyes are when they finally meet his.
"What's wrong baby?" Taehyung asks kneeling in the ground before Jungkook and taking his hands in his. Jungkook's head falls and his shoulder slowly start to shake that's when Taehyung knows something's really really wrong. He feels small droplets of tears in his hand.
Tears pool in his own eyes by looking at Jungkook- the most eligible bachelor, the one who owns millions of hearts, the one who alone runs the most famous electronics onic company there is in the world - crying, looking like theirs the weight of the world on his shoulders and he can't take it anymore.
"Jungkook, you're scaring me please." Taehyung cries before cupping jungkook's face and lifting it so that he can see the younger clearly. "Jungkook." He tries again.
"Hyung!" Jungkook cries before reaching out and pulling Taehyung on top of him, so that the other is sitting on jungkook's lap. Jungkook's face is pressed on taehyung's chest and he can slowly feel the wetness from jungkook's tears seeping in his shirt, but he doesn't care, how could he even he has a arm full of a very broken boy.
"H-hyung, I didn't have an option. I had to do it, or else e-everything I'd have worked for would go down the drain." Jungkook stutters out before he chokes.
Taehyung tries to pull back but Jungkook tightens his arms around him "n-no hyung, I cant say it while looking at you, it hurt-hurts so much. Please hyung-"
"Okay jungkookie, I want you to take a deep breath. Come on breathe with me 1 2 3." Taehyung says softly and Jungkook complies, his body evidently loosening up, his sobs notch down a bit.
"Now tell me jungkookie what is it?" Taehyung asks softly, fingers carding into jungkook's soft brown hair and gently massaging his scalp. A act to calm jungkook's nerves, he always asks Taehyung to do this when he's nervous and Taehyung knows it helps.
Jungkook inhales harshly once before he says "Hyung, promise me you won't judge me, promise me you'll understand, promise me that you won't leave."
Now it's taehyung's turn to tense up. His breath hitches because what has Jungkook exactly done? What's so bad enough to make him leave. He promises nonetheless "I promise, I love you."
"I love you too hyung, so much, I love you more than anything in the world." Jungkook says, Taehyung has to strain a little because jungkook's mouth is still presses against his chest and so his words are muffled up.
Taehyung presses a gently kiss on jungkook's forehead as an answer "come on baby, tell me."
"remember that deal id made with the Jung's well, something went wrong through it and now I'm losing almost all of my company's shares because of them. Hyung, it's all a mess, it's a fucking mess because I don't- I can't do anything to solve it. Apparently there was a clause in the contest we clearly missed and so we fucked up. Today, Mr Jung came in my office with a pro proposition." Jungkook explains and Taehyung patiently listens.
"What proposition?" He asks, his voice a little small, Taehyung knows where this is going, he knows it but his heart doesn't want to accept it, his heart wants to hear it from jungkook's mouth before it decides to shatter completely.
"I have to marry his daughter to get the shares back." Jungkook finally says, his voice cracking in the end, his grip around Taehyung tightens a little more, his heart a little heavy.
Taehyung is silent for a moment, the only sound of jungkook's soft whimpers filling the tense air "what did you say?" Taehyung whispers.
"I said yes." Jungkook replies.
