you think you can trust people
you become oblivious to things they do
you don't believe they could ever hurt you
but take a step back and turn around
you'll see them holding the knife that
is lodging deep into your back
you'll feel the pain of other wounds
and you'll see everyone else you thought
you could trust and who would never hurt you
