After burning the bear, the boys decided to celebrate at the diner. I didn't really want to come along since I knew everyone in that part of town hated me, but Sam dragged me along anyway. They ordered, and things were quiet until we all got our stuff. Dean got a burger and fries, Sam got a salad and I just got a water since I didn't have any money and knew the water was free.

As I took another sip of my drink Sam turned to me with a worried expression, "You sure you don't want some food?"

I smiled at his kind-hearted nature but shook my head. "Nah, not hungry. I didn't think I was getting lunch, so I had a massive breakfast." I lied but, oh well, I'll just steal some food later. Sam nodded, a little unconvinced and it was Dean's turn to ask me a question.

"Hey, how'd you know the teddy was the ghost's link?" he looked up from his burger that he was gulping down and I cringed slightly as he spoke with his mouth full.

"Well 1) it was obvious, that teddy didn't really belong there and 2) I saw it in the news clipping about her suicide." I answered, then repeated what I had read yesterday, "'Alice Michaelson lost her child to sickness in room 6 of Mostly's Motel and then proceeded to kill herself shortly after due to her overwhelming grief'."

Dean mumbled "Nerd" under his breath and I just smirked at him.

Then Sam spoke up, ignoring Dean's comment, "You really did your research, well done."

I smiled but we both ended up glaring at Dean as he fake-coughed "Double nerd" under his breath. I couldn't help but laugh, enjoying the different company. Not that I don't love Loki, because I do, but it get's boring just him and me sometimes.

My smile turned to a frown as I remembered that they were just passing through and my grip on my glass tightened as I asked the question now weighing on my mind. "When are you two planning on leaving?"

Sam seemed hurt by the comment, but Dean just sarcastically asked, "Why? You wanna get rid of us already?"

I shook my head, still staring at the water in my glass. "No, you said you were leaving when we first met, I was just wondering when." I felt my true emotions showing so I added a snarky comment in and looked up, so they couldn't see how much I wanted them to stay. "Don't want to bother getting attached to people I know aren't sticking around."

Dean looked me in the eyes and replied blandly, "After we eat." I nodded in understanding before finishing my drink and standing up.

Sam quickly looked at me with a worried expression, "Where you going?"

"Home." I stated blankly like it was obvious, "It was nice meeting you boys... Well nice meeting one of you," I smiled at Sam, "But now I have to prepare for my night hunt, so I'll have to say goodbye." Before either of them could say anything, I walked out of the diner and started walking home.

<SAM>

I watched the kid leave and I was left with this feeling in my gut that I shouldn't have let her go. I turned to my brother to see that he'd just continued eating like she was never here in the first place. "I don't think we should leave yet." I said straight out, knowing we didn't have much time to beat about the bush if we wanted to catch up with her.

"Why Sammy?" he didn't even look up from his burger.

I rolled my eyes at the much-hated nickname before replying, "I have a bad feeling about leaving her. There's something wrong but we're not going to find out if we leave."

Dean rolled his eyes before swallowing the last part of his burger and standing up. "Come on then." He replied with a bored tone, but I could tell by the look in his eyes that he had the same feeling about her that I did.
